A Polaris Ranger EV was outfitted with Mattracks and evaluated. The tracks became easier to install as we went along. It took about 45 minutes to install the last one. The tracks lift the vehicle about 3 inches or so. The tracks appear to increase stability giving the driver more confidence over rough and aggressive terrain the than standard wheel. With tracks the EV has more understeer, the front pushes out during turning; for a given turn/path an understeer vehicle while require more steer angle in comparison to the same turn taken by a vehicle with neutral steer.
