Jack Benny - Mel Blanc Classic Routine

Here's a classic Jack Benny and Mel Blanc routine from "The Jack Benny Program" that ran in the early 1960's. Jack loved to do this skit with Mel. Video remains the property of copyright holder, all rights reserved.
Jack Benny Kills Mel Blanc

In this clip from The Jack Benny Show's Christmas episode, Jack drives poor salesclerk Mel Blanc (the voice of Bugs Bunny and other classic cartoon characters) to suicide. First Jack buys an expensive wallet for a present, then has the clerk rewrap it several times to change the card. Finally, well, you can see in the clip what happens. And yes, this was the TV version of the very similar radio broadcast. This episode is available on The Jack Benny Show Vol 3 at HoughsVideos.50Megs.Com

This is voice actor Michael Bell talking about a funny story working with Mel Blanc, legendary voice of bugs bunny, etc., and Alan Oppenheimer, another awesome voice actor. The next video after this is www.youtube.com I was taping my con experience because I was getting material for a radio show. No tripod so it's shaky. I was only interested in audio snippets anyway. MEL BLANC - Daffy Duck's Rhapsody (1950)

The genius of Mel Blanc is truly showcased with this amazing vocal, as the irrepressible Daffy Duck. The music is adapted from Franz Listz's "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2." Of course this video is "Bozo Approved."

Mel Blanc The Judy Canova Show

When Mel was on The Judy Canova Show on radio. Mel Blanc was just amazing. He was more than a character actor, he created the voices for so many wonderful WB cartoon personalities. This one is from my personal film collection. Had to be transfered from Super 8 Sound Film to video.

Mel Blanc "Bugs Bunny and the pirate" 1956

One of the few real vocal geniuses was Mel Blanc the voice of Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Tweety and Sylvester and so many more. In the late 1940s and 1950s he made those cartoon characters a household name in movies and on record through his voice talent alone. Here is a children´s record with the inimitable voice of Mel Blanc.

Spike Jones and His City Slickers were among the many performers showcased in "Soundies," short musical films designed to be played in special jukeboxes. In CLINK! CLINK! ANOTHER DRINK (1942), Del Porter leads the chorus and there's a featured vocal by Mel Blanc, the voice of many legendary cartoon characters (including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety and Sylvester, Yosemite Sam, and Barney Rubble). Christmas Chopsticks :::: Mel Blanc.

Melvin Jerome "Mel" Blanc (May 30, 1908 -- July 10, 1989) was an American voice actor and comedian. Although he began his nearly six-decade-long career performing in radio commercials, Blanc is best remembered for his work with Warner Bros. during the "Golden Age of American animation" (and later for Hanna-Barbera television productions) as the voice of such well-known characters, especially from Looney Tunes as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Taz, Sylvester the Cat, Tweety Bird, Foghorn Leghorn, Yosemite Sam, Wile E. Coyote, Woody Woodpecker, Barney Rubble, Mr. Spacely, Speed Buggy, Captain Caveman, Heathcliff, Speedy Gonzales, Tom and Jerry, Bosko and hundreds of others. Having earned the nickname "The Man of a Thousand Voices," Blanc is regarded as one of the most influential people in the voice-acting industry. At the time of his death, it was estimated that 20 million people heard his voice every day.
