Memento ist ein Spielfilm von Christopher Nolan basierend auf der Kurzgeschichte „Memento mori seines Bruders Jonathan. Das markanteste Merkmal des komplexen Films sind die beiden Handlungsstränge, von denen jeweils einer (Schwarz/Weiß) in der korrekten und einer (Farbe) in entgegengesetzt chronologischer Reihenfolge abläuft. Die Hauptperson ist ein Mann, der nach einem traumatischen Ereignis die Fähigkeit verloren hat, neue Erinnerungen zu bilden. Ein Mann (Guy Pearce) hat sein Kurzzeitgedächtnis verloren.
