Gary Speed's 14 Bolton Wanderers Goals 2004/2007 | RIP 1969/2011 | QuickfireGoals Episode #5

Please Like & Favourite in memory of Gary Speed, never forgotten. Episode #5 is a fitting tribute to Gary Speed in his last spell in top flight football with Bolton Wanderers scoring 14 Goals from 2004 till 2007 as a long career with big clubs winds down to a close. Here is short biography of Gary i wrote, Gary started his career with Leeds United in 1988 when he left school to become a trainee, only weeks later, Leeds signed Gary up as a professional at the age of 19 scoring 57 Goals in 312 appearances. He then left to join Everton in 1996 for a fee of £3.5m. With Everton, Speed scored 17 Goals in 65 appearances with his debut goal against Newcastle who he would sign for next. With Kenny Dalglish as the magpie's manager, Newcastle United quickly signed up speed in good goalscoring form in 1998 for £5.5m where he probably had the highlight of his career playing in the Champions League in the 2002/03 season, scoring in the groupstage against Dinamo Kiev. Gary went on to score 40 Goals in 284 appearances for the magpies. In 2004, Gary moved to Bolton on a 2 year contract for £750000 and became the first ever player to make 500 premier league appearances in 2006. Overall he scored 14 Goals in 139 appearances (all of which you can see if you're reading this). As Gary's playing career comes to a close, he was a target for many championship clubs. One of which signed him, Sheffield United. In 2008, the blades signed him for £250000 and was in the starting 11 against Wolves on ...

Gary Speed Private Funeral Held In Hawarden 9.12.11

Gary Speed's private funeral in home area of Hawarden The private funeral of Wales football manager Gary Speed has taken place near where he grew up. The League Managers' Association (LMA) said only family and close friends had attended the funeral. It was held in Hawarden, Flintshire. The LMA is planning to hold a public memorial service soon. Flintshire council opened a book of remembrance in Speed's memory on Thursday, saying it shared the grief of his family and the public. Speed, 42, was found dead at his home in Cheshire last month. "He has been a role model and a mentor for others," said council chief executive Colin Everett. "The communities of Flintshire are all very proud of Gary's achievements, from being a footballer to a manager." Football fans and rugby supporters united at the weekend to remember Speed, with a minute's applause at every Premier League fixture and at the Wales-Australia rugby game in the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. His widow Louise said through the LMA earlier this week that she and her family expressed "deep appreciation" for the tributes to him. Stereophonics singer Kelly Jones says he is honoured Speed's widow chose his version of an unofficial Welsh football anthem to be played at his funeral. Jones re-worked Andy Williams' 1968 hit Can't Take My Eyes Off You as his personal tribute to Speed. It was adopted by supporters after a BBC Wales promotion for the 1994 World Cup qualifying campaign. Speed took over the Wales job in December ...
