
I made this video during my first trip to Cambodia in November 2007 to visit Angkor Wat and the various other temples that can be found in the area of Siem Reap. It was a mervellous journey into the past to walk around this World Heritage Site. I have always had an interest for history, archeology, ancient architecture and civilization, mix with my passion for photography and High Definition video, so this trip has soon fulfill my apetite for that sort of stuff. However, what will always remain my most impactful memory is the people of Cambodia and those from Vietnam that I have met during that wekend. They are one of the reason why I have chosen to move to Asia and to provide my daughters the opportunity to learn a different way of life, not so much focus on materialism but more on the innerself and to discover the simple things in life that can make oneself happy, to stay humble and to look after others. The people I've met during that single day had all one thing in common, they were all poor, but most of them looked happy. They only thing that mattered most for them was to bring food on the table each night to share with the familly, while back home most kids are complaining because they don't have the most recent Ipod, cellular or because they have to go to school the next day. That day, I saw a kid, having the time of his life paddling in a stainless tub on the Tonlé Sap smilling and joking with his friends, just to noticed when I zoomed in on him that he had lost <b>...</b>
