Monkey and Hunter Apparatus Demonstration
Dual-Purpose Unit Demonstrates Collision and Parabolic Trajectories Perform this classic experiment easily with minimal set-up time. The "hunter's gun" is a tube with a spring-loaded launching piston that allows you to adjust the projectile ball's launch angle. The "monkey" is a ball held in place by a battery-powered electromagnet. When you fire the projectile, the electromagnet's circuit is broken; the ball falls and is hit by the projectile. Large, brightly-colored parts make the trajectory easily visible, and an included angle mirror sight speeds the aiming process. The "hunter's gun" has a mounting plate for a table clamp, and it can be used separately as a trajectory apparatus. The White Monkey videos are a young girl's perspective of life with displaced people in Burma."The White Monkey" is the Karen name for Sahale, an eight-year-old American girl. The videos are shot in the Karen State of Burma by Ka Paw Say, a Karen Free Burma Ranger team leader. The first 3 minute video, "White Monkey," was shot in a training camp for new Free Burma Ranger relief teams as they prepare to go on humanitarian missions to help people under attack by the Burma Army. The second 5.5 minute video, "White Monkey on a Mission," was shot while on a relief mission. "We love the people of Burma and stand with them for justice, freedom, and human dignity. Our family was invited into Burma, and we try to serve the people and God there. The children of Burma are as precious to their parents as ours are to us, and we are glad to be with them.
