Part 7 in a series that takes a look at the history of one of the greatest gaming franchises of all time, chronicling the many recurring themes, characters and monsters that have appeared over the years. Notes regarding this video (please read before commenting!): - For the entire series, I have simply gathered video footage from various sources on YouTube and compiled them together. I've done this only to entertain the many fans of Final Fantasy here on YouTube, so with that said, many thanks to all the folks who took the time to record the game footage. - Again, for the whole series, I've focused solely on the main games. Remakes and updates of those games are featured, but I've opted to skip games like Tactics, FFX-2 and such. I had to draw the line somewhere to keep a reasonable length. - The FFIII footage is short, but it's pretty much all I could find. From what I remember, moogles don't appear for very long in this one anyway, so I don't think you're missing too much. - Moogles don't appear in FFIV to my knowledge, but feel free to school me if I'm wrong (and FFWiki while you're at it). - Missing the moogle suit for Strago and Relm in FFVI. Meh. - The clip of Cait Sith for FFVII is there mostly because the model features a giant moogle doll thingie. Counts for me. - Missing the theatre play in Lindblum, but that's pretty minor. - Oddly enough, the FFX footage was almost a <b>...</b>

As some of you noticed, the title screen music is playing in the background. As said, there is another computer behind this current one. I had my back to my cat as I was trying to log into the other computer. When I turned around to go back to my character, I saw that my cat had taken up my desk space and that was when I noticed that he was infatuated with the moogle! Originally, I took pictures only on my cellphone because that was the closest media that I could reach, but when I realized he was more than intrigued with the moogle, I searched for my other camera and began recording this video. It was hilarious, because he wouldn't stop! In fact, he would have kept on going if I hadn't interfered..my camera was picking up a streak from the light next to the computer - so while recording, I reached over to move the light, but instead, I accidentally "woke" him from his trance (you might notice him do this semi-arch/ruffle thing). ^^ Definitely, the best part for me was turning around and seeing him glued to the moogle without me intentionally doing anything! I couldn't stop laughing! XD Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for watching my cat's "silly" moment! ^^

Starting with this video, I am going to upload videos of my Moogle Only Challenge in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for GBA. The rules of the challenge (which is meant to make the easy game a bit more difficult and limited) are simple: 1) Only Moogles are allowed to act on the battlefield. *this rule becomes valid only once I hire enough Moogles to form a team by repeating the Moogle Wanted! mission. 2) In storyline missions it is impossible to remove Marche. Since having a human in a team GREATLY changes the strategy, I choose NOT to use him at all and simply choose 'Wait'. This is the first boss battle in the game and perhaps the easiest, only "beaten" by the Exodus "battle". Famfrit fails to come up with anything that would threaten my might moogles and the fact that I managed to blind him with the now late Gunner ( :( ) only makes matters far worse for him. An easy battle, even though the Ahriman got lucky with his Roulette. The reason why I am overleveled is my manipulation of Juggler's infamous technique Smile, which inevitably leads to the entire party growing WAY too quickly. Available in high quality. Second storyline mission with the moogle team. This boss is very hard if you don't prepare properly, with its attack that deals heavy damage to the entire party and draining ability. You should be able to deal a lot of damage if you want to take this boss down. Auctions were available and since bazaar is a pain in the arse to get desired items from I took part in a few auctions and good some goodies, without really going for anything specific. Fira/Thundara/Blizzara + Geomancy (Sage's Robe, grand prize in Moorabella auctions) is currently my best way of dealing damage. I suppose it's adequate to teach the physical moogles Geomancy as well and equip them fire/lightning/ice-elemental weapons since there's not a single moogle p-ability that strikes me as being really amazing. Oh yeah, if you do this mission don't forget to get the item in that one urn. In fact, always check for treasure in chests that don't look like ordinary ones. The rest is in comments, but I'm finding it difficult to comment with the pace of a sped up video, so I'm still in doubt if I really should abandon video description commenting altogether.

This video is available (and recommended for watching) in high quality. This is a test edit of a recording I made. After finishing a normal playthrough of FFTA2, as usual, I was too impatient to do all 300 missions and started attempting different challenges instead. The challenge potential of this game is, well, not that high. Many classes aren't available early in the game, the new mechanics have Luso gain 60 exp. in storyline mission regardless of whether you intend to use him or not and getting desired items is quite painful compared to the original FFTA where most abilities you'll ever need can be acquired within the first couple of hours of gameplay. And the final boss makes all challenges harder than they were in the previous game. Healing? That doesn't sound too good. I decided to go for a Moogle Only challenge first. Moogles aren't a very balanced race and starting the challenge is quite hard as they are limited in offense and cannot heal. It's also a good opportunity to try out those new moogle classes and class combos that go with them. Additional rules I'm imposing: * No Items * Hard Mode It's pretty challenging at this point, as I often find myself failing missions. I'm not yet sure if I want to record the challenge because there's quite a lag and I'm running out of music (yeah, the virus thing), but if it's requested a lot I may make more videos of it. I couldn't fit the entire video because of YouTube's time limitations, so once the second part is uploaded I'll put the link here. First of all, here is the strategy for the Ultima battle: Since Marche is not a Moogle, we can only rely on 3 characters in this boss battle. My choice were three Gunners trained as Jugglers and/or Thieves for speed (without the high speed stat I would have been charmed before I had the chance to destroy the nearby crystals), with Stunt(read "Smile") as a secondary A-Ability. Why Gunner? Elementary, Watson. Ultima's greatest strength lies in its Logos technique which charms all targets in a specific field. However, if we stand far away from them, they will simply skip their turns. Gunner is the best Moogle class for usining long-range attacks without fearing to be charmed. There IS one problem nevertheless. If I shoot without changing my location, laws of nature make me miss the crystal and shoot into the walls instead. That's why there is one case in the video where I have to risk standing close to one Ultima Crystal (and I do get owned harshcore). I suppose that's it, the video depicts my strategy better than words can explain. As for the Materia Blade: I used a Treasure Hunt FAQ to find out how to get this <b>...</b>

I somehow got it through right now, presumably because it's night where I live. Where was I... This is the third recording I made. It shows the next storyline mission which happens to be another boss battle (maybe not, it's not really much of a boss). Ewen, who almost shares his sprite and skillset with a plain Ninja, represents the new class titled Nightfall. As far as I'm informed, there's no way of accessing this job for the player. He doesn't have Double Sword at this point (he will the next time we meet him however) but Ninja Tabi make him dangerous. Attacks from behind are quite painful in this game (dealing double the damage, iirc, haven't delved into the game's mechanics at all yet) and with his capability of appearing behind virtually anyone's back, Ewen can hurt us quite a bit. I do lose two moogles here but that's because I decide to kill Ewen's allies for the loot instead of ending the mission as soon as possible. I don't see why I would rush. It's not a hard boss/mark.

A word of advice to anyone who was inspired to take a similar challenge by this video: ban the use of Angel Ring and Ultima Charge. This video depicts how I managed to vanquish the "mighty" Adrammelech before he even had the time to pick his nose. Before the battle I had my Mog Knight learn the Ultima Charge move. I got sufficient ability points by repeating the "save area" missions along the lines of "Help Nubs!" (heh). Needless to say, this ability kicks ass. I had to power level a bit to have enough MP to use it though. The strategy is simple. My party is, aside from Marche, a Mog Knight who knows Smile, 3 Jugglers and a Gunner. The fastest Juggler starts and Smiles the Mog Knight until he reaches Adra and uses Ultima Charge. The other two Jugglers Smile their way to the Mog Knight and give him another turn to deliver a normal attack. When he is at critical health, the Gunner finds the right spot on the battlefield to finish him off from long range. That's it, one turn KO, he didn't even get to see his turn! Background music used: Daler Mehndi - "Tunak Tunak Tun" (this happens to be a short video, so let's make it a joke song this time, shall we?).
