MORCHANG
Morchang is Jews harp is an elastic thin iron strip called the tongue a fixed to a circular iron ring. This strip projects a little beyond the right at one end at the other end is slightly curled. It passes right along the centre of the ring and between the two arms. the instrument is held in the left hand and the fork portion is held in the mouth. The curled end of the tongue is plucked by the forefinger of the right hand. The cavity of the mouth acts as resonator. When played along with the dholak, the combined effect is delightful and pleasing.

RAJASTHANI FOLK MUSICAL INSTRUMENT- MORCHANG
This Autophonic instrument known as "Morchang", or Jew's harp is made by iron rid by Gadoliya Luhar in the villages. Played by common people in the desert for own entertainment. In this video clip a Langa caste musician Habibkhan is playing the Morchang instrument. Some caste musicians also adopted this instrument for their music concert.

Morchang or Jaw's harp comes in Autophonic musical instruments catagory. The player hold this Iron made little instrument on his lips and strikes the rid by the finger or thumb to produce the sound. Commonly played by rural folk in western Rajasthan. Langa musicians do play this instrument and start learning from their childhood. This video clip shows Master Roshan khan Langa's Morchang playing.
