Video 10 of my Video-A-Week Project. Dupree's been wanting me to put this online for a long time. I played Initial D 4 while I was visiting California and it's a great game. So why the hell isn't it in Hawaii? My car ID is just collecting dust. The game is based on the anime of the same name. In this game I drive a LEVIN AE85. In the anime, the character that drives the '85 is named Itsuki. He doesn't think well of his car until his friend Takumi (the protagonist of the show), uses his car to beat an opponent in a much better car. By pure coincidence, Dupree does just the same for me during this race. We weren't thinking about that when we shot this. The moral of the story is it's not always how good your car is, but also the skill of the driver. By the way... if you think I suck, let's not forget this was my first day playing Initial D! LOL A final note - one of Takumi's trademarks in the anime is turning off his headlights to trick his opponent into not knowing how close he is so he can pass them up, hence why I make light of it during this video.
