A Serious Tactical Problem V2.0 Pt.II : Necessary Delay
The Doomsday Machine has been intercepted by the USS Enterprise-E, Prometheus, Akira, and the new USS Argonaut. With the Doomsday Machine making its way to Outpost 45, the base of operations and home port to 5 Federation Starships in the system. The Captain of the Argonaut orders the Enterprise-E and the Akira to fall back to help assist the evacuation of Outpost 45 after the USS Prometheus is obliterated. The Argonaut's weaponry proves slightly effective against the Neutronium hull of the Doomsday Machine, but it will take some time to do much damage. With Captain Picard ordering a science team to research ways on how to disable or destroy the Doomsday Machine, the Argonaut continues to pound away at the thing, forgetting that Starfleet has had an encounter with this same type of machine a century earlier. Check us out at www.tutorvista.com The neutron is a subatomic particle with no net electric charge and a mass slightly larger than that of a proton. They are usually found in atomic nuclei. The nuclei of most atoms consist of protons and neutrons, which are therefore collectively referred to as nucleons. The number of protons in a nucleus is the atomic number and defines the type of element the atom forms. The number of neutrons is the neutron number and determines the isotope of an element. For example, the abundant carbon-12 isotope has 6 protons and 6 neutrons, while the very rare radioactive carbon-14 isotope has 6 protons and 8 neutrons. While bound neutrons in stable nuclei are stable, free neutrons are unstable; they undergo beta decay with a mean lifetime of just under 15 minutes (885.7±0.8 s). Free neutrons are produced in nuclear fission and fusion. Dedicated neutron sources like research reactors and spallation sources produce free neutrons for use in irradiation and in neutron scattering experiments. Even though it is not a chemical element, the free neutron is sometimes included in tables of nuclides. It is then considered to have an atomic number of zero and a mass number of one, and is sometimes referred to as neutronium. Salamander Crossing - Crossing the bar (with lyrics)
Crossing the Bar is a song based on an Alfred, Lord Tennyson poem of the same name. This particular version was recorded by the bluegrass band Salamander Crossing from their album "Bottleneck Dreams". Salamander Crossing disbanded in 1999 but some of the original members (Rani Arbo and Andrew Kinsey) still perform under the name "Rani Arbo and Daisy Mayhem". The poem itself is an allegory for death. It was written near the end of Tennyson's life. "Crossing the bar" could be interpreted to mean "crossing the sandbar" out into sea, transitioning from life into death. The Pilot is a symbol for God. Tennyson wrote that "The Pilot has been on board all the while, but in the dark I have not seen him...[He is] that Divine and Unseen Who is always guiding us." The song itself, I find, is strangely beautiful in that even though it is a metaphor for death it isn't especially sorrowful. There's a touch of reflectiveness here. Lego Star Wars Republic Cruiser Class - Acclamator
The Acclamator I-class assault ship, also known as the Republic assault ship, Acclamator I-class Star Destroyer, or Acclamator I-class medium frigate, was a starship created for the Galactic Republic by Rothana Heavy Engineering. It was the predecessor of the Star Destroyer line. The 752-meter-long Acclamator I-class assault transport carried thousands of Republic clone troopers into battle. The Acclamator I favored a wedge or dagger shaped design, like the Republic warships during the Mandalorian Wars, due to its effectiveness—it allowed concentration of firepower while minimizing target profile. This basic design was used in a number of larger craft predating it and would define Imperial ships for decades to come. The hull armor of Acclamator-class vessels was impregnated with ultra-dispersive neutronium that withstood and spread massive energy blasts. Fusion rockets fired by enemy forces barely made a scratch on the hull as a result. Acclamator I-class ships also carried support equipment and vehicles, such as the AT-TE and SPHA walkers, used to provide clone troopers with heavy battlefield support. Each Acclamator I-class ship held 320 speeder bikes, used by clone troopers for fast battlefield reconnaissance and patrol duties. All parts ordered on Newegg.com (i made the computer). These parts were not that expensive, and they run Compiz Fusion (new name of compcomm) VERY well. And, since people are asking, I chose to film with a camera since I couldn't install the screencast plugin (I get compile errors).. can someone tell me the dependencies for it? And i used iMovie to make the video, I guess I could have used Kino, but I wasn't sure if it was up to it. The Song is "Ya Ya" on "The Early Tapes of The Beatles" album. I don't know if it's a Beatle singing, but I believe they're playing in the background. ====UPDATED=== I'm using grey-neu, an emerald theme I designed, gnome-look.org , and "glossy" in ubuntu, just customized to dark colors.
