Yorick has quite a few problems, but I think his biggest problem is that he can't secure kills well at all. He's still a lot of fun, but I'm going to talk about some stuff I didn't get to in the video. Yorick's particularly strong against Brand/Rammus/skillshot characters because his ghouls can stop powerball, absorb pyroclasm bounces, and eat skill shots. That's more use than you'll get out of them 90% of the time :P He's bad against a character like Mordekaiser who gets more shield based on the number of targets he hits, but on the same token he'll likely never eat a full mace of spades because of the ghouls. Aegis of the Legion does not provide his minions with a bonus, don't bother. As a note, I played something close to thirty Yorick games, but my LoLReplay froze up with the new patch so I lost access to most of them. These clips were fraps'd today, so my selection wasn't what I wanted it to be. Yorick is a terrible jungler because of his base attack speed/initial mana costs. He has a .55 starting attack speed. That's worse than Soraka/Morgana. The build I've been using is 3x Doran's Blade into Glacial Shroud/Bveil (depending on opponents)-Atmas-Triforce for duo lanes. Tear-Spirit Visage-Phage-Manamune-Triforce for solo. 21/0/9 masteries, arp/armor/mr runes.

Check out Varus, the new champion! His Q is an arrow that he holds, does more damage the longer you hold it. Scales on AD. His W adds Blight damage to his other abilities, scales on AP. His E is a hail of arrows that blights the ground, slowing enemies by 20% and reducing healing effects by 50%! His R (ultimate) roots an enemy champion and does damage, and upon expiring moves to another champion, rooting it, if there is one nearby. He's fun. I chose to work on this champion specifically because you guys requested him so frequently, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how cool he could be. He's one of the few champions where I felt like a penta-kill was around the corner in every fight, and even though I didn't get one, he still had a huge impact on the team battles. For Masteries, I went 9/0/21 with an emphasis on CDR and Ability Power, and avoiding the mana-related perks. CDR has a big impact on his abilities in fights and skirmishes since they're already at short cooldowns, so you really can squeeze more casts in during fights by having it. For Runes, I went Insight magic pen reds always. For yellows, either health/level or flat armor (armor if you're likely to go against a physical player in lane is better). Blues are 9x ability power, or 8x CDR and 1x ability power (8x gets you ~5% so you'll still cap at 40% w/ items). Quints are either flat Ability Power or 6% spell vamp (totaling 9% spell vamp with masteries, making Tides of Blood spam viable right off the bat).
