Kenny Wormald (Ren) -- Kenny Wormald is an American actor and dancer from Stoughton, MA. Dancing since the age of six, Kenny was accepted into Boston's prestigious Sherry Gold Studios where his talent was recognized immediately. Over the next decade, Kenny trained in every genre of dance, from ballet to tap to jazz to hip hop, and even received some acrobatic training! In 1996, at the age of 10, Kenny was selected to dance for President Clinton at the White House as a part of the annual Easter celebration but it was in 2002 when his talents were recognized on a more official level when he won the gold medal at the World Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany for a tap routine he performed. Kenny's previous television projects include The Drew Cary Show and the MTV reality hit Dancelife, where he was one of 6 dancers followed during their times trying to make it as a professional dancer in Los Angeles. It was from that and a chance meeting at Millennium Dance Studios with casting director Karen Meisels which led to Kenny having the opportunity to audition for and ultimately be cast in "Center Stage 2," his first leading role as an actor. Zac Efron Quits Footloose Movie Hello everyone. From Clevver TV, I'm Dana Ward talking about Zac Efron's recent movie drop-out. The 21-year-old definitely graduated from his days with the High School Musical series, but the singing and dancing characters that got him the starring role in the upcoming Footloose remake, are the same things that caused him to quit the film. This is all according to reports, of course, that Efron supposedly thinks he's being type-casted as the musical man... and that in an effort to break this same-job roll that he's on, he just said NO. Zac had apparently been attached to Footloose since July 2007 and announced his departure after receiving an updated script draft in late March 2009. Let's hear it for the boy - Chace Crawford is officially signed on to star in the upcoming remake of Footloose and we've got all the details. Hey guys - I'm Joslyn Davis for Clevver TV coming to your from our Beverly Hills studio. Gossip Girl hottie Chace Crawford is set to start filming Footloose. Chace Crawford recently landed the role after Zac Efron dropped out of the movie. Chace Crawford obviously has the looks to play the part, but does he have the moves? We all know that Zac Efron has incredible dance skills, but even Gossip Girl fans are a bit skeptical about Chace Crawford's ability to fill the dancing shoes of Kevin Bacon. Maybe Chace just hadn't had the chance to show the world what he's really made of-after all the director of this film is Kenny Ortega who choreographed "Dirty Dancing," so chances are Crawford probably knows what he's doing. Also rumored to be getting in on the Footloose action is Miley Cyrus. According to E News, the 16 year old star is in the mix, as far as casting is concerned, AND that the filmmakers have expressed an interest in adding her to the cast. But Miley has some stiff competition. Amanda Bynes and Hayden Panetierrre are also rumored to have auditioned for the female lead in the film. That became the basis of the 1984 "Footloose" movie written by Dean Pitchford and directed by Herbert Ross. Twenty seven years later, writer-director Craig Brewer ("Hustle & Flow," "Black Snake Moan") decided to take on the dubious task of remaking the iconic movie. Everyone doubted Brewer, including me. But I entered the theater a skeptic and walked out a believer. Let's be honest here. The original "Footloose" was not necessarily a cinematic masterpiece. Most of the characters were treated as caricatures, and the film lacked motivation. The soundtrack headlined by Kenny Loggins was far more memorable than the movie itself. But Brewer did something short of miraculous. He made improvements to the storyline while being respectful of the original. The result is a film that is more of an homage than a remake. And dare I say it, the 2011 version is much better and more realized. All the unforgettable elements we fell in love with in the original are all in the new version. Ren McCormack, now played by newcomer Kenny Wormald, drives a yellow Volkswagen bug, there's an iconic pair of red cowboy boots, and all the famous songs were retrofitted for today's pop culture landscape. The main differences between the two versions are the setting and Kenny's origin. The 1984 film was set in the fictional town of Bomont, Utah and Kenny came from Chicago. Now, our <b>...</b>

It's quite the musical listing, with artists like Blake Shelton, Zac Brown, Cee Lo Green and The Smashing Pumpkins singing for the 12-track disc. We gotta give some props to Victoria Justice for also making the cut. In fact, she's not just featured but she's actually taking a main role. Victoria -- along with Hunter Hayes -- recorded a song called Almost Paradise, which is being credited as the Footloose love theme. If you saw the original movie from back in the day, you'd know that this track was on that soundtrack, or maybe you've just heard the really recognizable song before!
