DeVotchKa - a fun gypsy-like band
DeVotchKa a band my friend Mike introduced me to just this past winter. They are a four-piece multi-instrumental and vocal ensemble. They are based in Denver. The quartet is made up of Nick Urata, who sings and plays theremin, guitar, bouzouki, piano, and trumpet, Tom Hagerman, who plays violin, accordion, and piano, Jeanie Schroder, who sings and plays sousaphone, double bass and flute and Shawn King, who plays percussion and trumpet. They have a great upbeat sound with an awesome gypsy flare. The album I talk about here is called 100 Lovers and have many great song! Enjoy! Song in the background is by Sickids and is called Blade.
