The people of California are demanding the banks to refund the money that was taken away from the Golden State. Some say this manifestation of the Occupy Wall Street movement motivated a group of protestors to walk into a Bank of America in Los Angeles and attempted to cash a check for $673 billion made out to the tax payers of California. They, however, ended up in handcuffs. Ramon Galindo, RT correspondent, gives us the details. Follow Kristine on Twitter at twitter.com

"People say, 'What do these people want?, 'Where is the list of demands?' You know, it's like an embryonic movement," says journalist and filmmaker Sam Slovick. "You can't throw a crayon into daVinci's baby crib and tell him to paint the Mona Lisa, it's not there yet?" Slovick is the writer and director of the documentary Occupy LA: Scenes from the New Revolution, a five part series produced by Take Part and Slake. He sat down with Reason.com's managing editor, Tim Cavanaugh, to talk about the documentary, how Occupy LA became the largest occupation, and the difference in media coverage between the Occupy movement and the Tea Party. For days, OccupyLA had been told to evacuate its camp outside Los Angeles City Hall by 12:01 am on Monday, November 28. Throughout Thanksgiving weekend, the deadline approached and tension increased. When the police-led evacuation didn't happen, the movement moved into the streets where they were met by members of the Los Angeles Police Department armed with batons, helmets, and other riot gear. Reason.tv spoke with Occupiers and fans of the movement from inside the encampment at City Hall and followed the police developments into the morning. There was no clearing of the Occupy camp this time, but Los Angeles authorities have said they are determined to clear the space sooner or later. About 3:30 minutes. Scenes from the New Revolution is a five-part documentary series written and directed by journalist Sam Slovick, whose research into Occupy Wall Street led to his living in a tent at City Hall in Los Angeles alongside the 99% movement for the better part of two months. Slovick accessed Occupy Los Angeles at ground level, illuminating stories and faces that were either overlooked or misrepresented by the mainstream media. Told from the center of the year's biggest story, Slovick articulates the global movement through interviews with its activists, footage from the inner sanctum, and stories from its foot soldiers, bringing the sometimes-chaotic picture of Occupy LA into focus. Scenes from the New Revolution was produced with the help of Slake, a highly acclaimed literary journal based in Los Angeles. DemocracyNow.org - Some 1000 police officers raided the Occupy Los Angeles encampment in a park outside City Hall over night, arresting scores of people and evicting what has been the largest Occupy camp in the country. Meanwhile Occupy Philadelphia protesters vacated their encampment this morning after more than a thousand police moved in and warned them of mass arrests. Democracy Now! gets eyewitness updates on both raids from National Lawyers Guild legal observer Ken Montenegro in Los Angleles and Occupy organizer and activist Jeff Rousset in Philadelphia. "[Philadelphia's history of free speech and democracy] changed this morning at around 1 am. The city shut down the subways; they barricaded all of city hall, about two blocks in every direction; and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of cops poured in. Either way you look at it, there is no turning back now, the people have taken to the streets and spirit has shown up to guide us in a global transformation which will land us in a completely new paradigm and way of living our lives here on planet Earth.
