Find this and many more recipes on the Giallozafferano App in English itunes.apple.com *** Today we are in a traditional Bavarian café, in Milan, to get into the mood for the Oktoberfest. We can't fail to make a recipe using the main ingredient of German cuisine, that's why I've decided to cook together: the currywurst! Let's see how to do. We'll need: • 4 weisswurst the local Bavarian veal sausages • 1 tbsp of yellow curry • 1 cup (250 g) of tomato sauce • 1 cup (250 g) of ketchup • 1 small white onion • 1 tsp of paprika • 4 tsp of yellow curry • 1 tsp of cumin • 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil • 1 glass of water • salt to taste Begin by making the curry sauce to top the sausage: finely chop the onion... brown in 2 tablespoons of oil... and add the paprika. What I'm going to do now, would be forbidden in Italy: combine the tomato sauce... and the ketchup... and let simmer for a few minutes. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a glass of hot water. Before turning off the heat, add the cumin... and the curry... be generous... or you can't call it currywurst anymore! Process the sauce until smooth, then keep aside and take the sausages: bring a pot of water to a boil, adding a teaspoon of curry. Now put in the sausages... and let them boil for 5 minutes. Once cooked, grill quickly on a hot grill pan, to make them crispy on the outside. Cut <b>...</b>

After five years of trying to get an earlier date for the Exile Skimboards and Main Street Oktoberfest, a permit was finally issued for the weekend of October 2nd 2010. The date change appears to be paying off. Arriving at the contest site at 7:30, the sun was out but a nasty south wind had picked up, putting a weighing heavily upon the mood at the beach. Additionally, dark and ominous clouds loomed on the horizon. People spoke in jest of "the curse of Oktoberfest". As the first heat of pros ran, some large drops of tropical rain could be felt here and there. By the end of the heat it was time to run for cover as those few drops turned into a full on tropical downpour. The entire crowd huddled under tents, umbrellas and the pier taking shelter from the completely uncharacteristic warm and wet weather. People were smiling and shaking their heads, laughing at the comedy of it all. Then, within minutes it was over. The sun came out, the waves continued getting more glassy and the swell even picked up with the incoming tide. Conditions continued to get better and better throughout the initial round of pros and spirits were high. Bill Bryan. What else can be said...? The man is a machine, taking on challengers less than half his age, and everywhere in between, he still emerges victorious almost every time. It was probably the best contest of the tour in terms of wave conditions, which was pretty good on both days, specially in the first one which was sunny most part of the time. In the second day the waves were smaller and the weather was cloudy but it was still fun and the waves got pretty good in the afternoon, when the finals occurred. The final was awesome! Bill Bryan, Brandon Sears, Sam Stinett and Teddy Vlassis were ripping and made it a difficult decision for the judges which ended up giving the trophy to Bill Bryan. Coverage of the two day skimboarding event in Newport Beach, California. The event took place in October, 2009. Brad Domke, the points leader going into the event, was upset by Paulo Prietto and Sam Stinnett in a particularly tough second round heat on day one. After his exit, all eyes turned to Bill Bryan who would now walk away with the title unless Sam Stinnett, Morgan Just, Brandon Sears, Paulo Prietto or James Lovett could stop him. Bill Bryan squared off against James Lovett, Jake Stinnett and Tim Fulton an all out battle to make it out of the quarter final round. In the end, James Lovett won the heat handily while Bill took second beating Jake by only .5 points on a single score sheet. During the same round, top runner Paulo Prietto was upset by Brandon Sears and Sam Stinnett in a grueling 12 minute heat. Complicated math led most to believe that Morgan Just could still take the title from Bill with a 1st place finish. But in reality, by making it to the semi-final round with Paulo and Brad out of the picture, Bill had secured the title. The battle was on, however, for spots two through seven, and the riders didn't have time to crunch any numbers. The final approached fast and after twelve minutes of intense competition, Sam Stinnett emerged the victor for the first time in professional competition and launched himself from sixth place in the standings to second. Morgan Just earned third place at the event and hung onto his third place UST ranking while Brandon <b>...</b>

T: 2/5 Light hop character, dominated by fruity esters and alcohol. Malts are basically indistinguishable. Easy to drink, but no real strong notes. M: 3/5 Light bodied, crisp, nothing special. Hey gang, so I had the good pleasure over the Silver Week holiday in Japan to visit Sendai and see a good friend of mine from the original Tokyo Swan series: Tokyo Luke! Only now he is Sendai Luke, where he is now working. It was great being able to catch up with him about life, and to also scope out the local Sendai Oktoberfest. That was quite fun, and a real nice blend of Japanese and German qualities all in one event. We also got to explore around the city a bit (which after living in a much smaller town, I was quite overwhelmed. I really felt like I was back in Tokyo), and overall it was a fun time.
