He started his career as a DJ when he was just at the age of 15. In 1987 he bought his first recording equipment and he started to produce his own music. Olav made more than 100 records but not always as 'Olav Basoski'. He used a lot of pseudonyms like Sil, Bruce Webber, 6 Bells All, Mellow-Dee Project, The, and World Series Of Life. In the past Olav Basoski worked together with other producers, like Erick Eerdhuizen AKA DJ Erick E and René ter Horst AKA DJ Zki. Olav Basoski did a lot of remixes for some very famous artists like Moby, Pulp Victim, James Brown, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Phats & Small, U96, Mirwais, Bob Marley, JX, Apollo 440, Vengaboys, Hardfloor, 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor and many others. In the meantime, his own 'Samplitude' serie revealed more of his sampling and reworking. The single 'Opium Scumbagz' (2000), remixed to great effect by the Cleptomaniacs, pushed further his popularity. King Olav V of Norway
Olav V (2 July 1903 -- 17 January 1991) was the king of Norway from 1957 until his death. A member of the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Olav was born in the United Kingdom as the son of Prince Carl of Denmark and Princess Maud of the United Kingdom and given the names Alexander Edward Christian Frederik. He became Crown Prince and only heir to the throne of Norway when his father was elected king in 1905. He was the first heir to the Norwegian throne to be brought up in Norway since Olav IV, and his parents made sure he was given as Norwegian an upbringing as possible. In preparation for his royal duties, he attended both civilian and military schools. In 1929, he married his first and second cousin Princess Märtha of Sweden. During World War II his leadership was much appreciated and he was appointed Norwegian Chief of Defence in 1944. Succeeding to the throne in 1957, he enjoyed a very high level of popularity and respect throughout his reign, in which he was able to balance regality and approachability. Upon his death in 1991, the Norwegian public displayed a great demonstration of mourning. At his death, he was the last surviving grandchild of Edward VII of the United Kingdom and Alexandra of Denmark.

Olav Zipser Chooses Interorbital Systems' Rocket for World-Record Skydive Attempt FreeFlyer Olav Zipser with new best friend: Interorbital's SR145 Rocket World-renowned skydiver Olav Zipser has chosen Mojave rocket manufacturer Interorbital Systems as the launch provider for his attempt to break Joe Kittinger's 1960 high-altitude jump record. Zipser will forego the previous balloon-lift method used by the current record-holder, and instead will jump from an IOS SR 145 rocket. The launcher will propel Olav to an altitude of over 40 kilometers (about 25 miles)---higher than any manned balloon can possibly go---where he will eject from the launch vehicle and FreeFly back towards earth in what he intends to be the longest, fastest, and highest skydive in history: his FreeFly Astronaut Project. "This initial record attempt will be the first of a whole program, culminating with a dive from above the Karman line (100km), from a real space altitude. This is not a stunt. This is a research mission. I created the sport of FreeFlying and have gathered a great deal of important data, but more work is required. That's why committing to five rocket launches with IOS; these FreeFly events will happen at increasingly higher altitudes. "Lydverket Spanderer is a recurring segment on Lydverkets TV show and web site. The segment features Norwegian and international artists and bands performing one song acoustically in one take, in a non-traditional setting, away from concert stages and venues. Several takes can be recorded to secure the best possible performance and sound, but the producers do not edit between takes and all lighting is natural. We have just completed the 100th performance, and so far artists such as Little Boots, Datarock, Jenny Wilson, Jason Mraz, Kaizer Chiefs and many more have participated in the Lydverket Spanderer-recordings.
