How to Make an Origami Butterfly

In this tutorial, I explain how to make an origami butterfly out of a sheet of printer paper. We must first make the paper square, and then go on to make what is known as the "Water Bomb Base" or "Paper Balloon Base". After that, we will go on to make the wings and head of the butterfly, finally folding it into the final shape. This tutorial should be regarded as fairly simple and is gone over in detail. Hope you enjoy, and please comment, rate, and subscribe to my videos! Thanks :-)

Rotate the paper and do the same with the other two edges. Step 2: Flip the paper over and fold corner to opposite Turn the paper over to the white side and fold one corner to the opposite corner. Unfold. Step 3: Rotate the paper and repeat Rotate the paper and repeat with the other two corners. Do not unfold. Step 4: Collapse into an upside-down pyramid You should have an overall triangular shape with creases that form a "V" on either side of the center vertical crease. Pick up the model and hold it with your fingers on either side of the "V." Gently bring your hands together allowing the paper to collapse into an upside-down pyramid shape. How to Make a Paper Crane - Origami

Explains how to turn a piece of printer paper into an origami crane. It involves some new and advanced folds which I go through step by step on how to perform. Hope you enjoy! Traditionally, the Japanese crane is expanded at the very end, although I usually prefer not to do this. To do this, you can perform the following: 1) Just grab each wing and pull them gently apart until the middle part inflates or expands, or 2) try blowing on the bottom of the crane to inflate it that way (doesn't work as well for me). NOTE: This is NOT an action model, meaning it does NOT FLAP, nor is it supposed to. To make a FLAPPING BIRD please see the link below*** Want to make a BIRD THAT FLAPS?? How to Make an Origami Boomerang

In this latest addition to my origami series, I will show you how to make a paper boomerang that really comes back!! To check out my throws, go to 1:02 (click here) in the video. Have you made TWO of these?!! Then do the Super Boomerang NOW!! www.youtube.com Main Channel: YouTube.com Shirts: www.districtlines.com Facebook: www.facebook.com Twitter: www.twitter.com In this tutorial, I will explain how to turn a regular sheet of printer paper into an origami boomerang... well actually 2 origami boomerangs!! :-) You will need a simple Letter Sized sheet (8.5 x 11 inches) or an A4 size paper. No tape or anything else is required. I also explain at the end the way we must position the boomerang in order to throw it properly. If it falls to the ground check to see if: 1) It's upside down, refer to 12:40 for the proper way to position it before throwing--it does matter. 2) You may be angling it too far down, which can cause it to not come back all the way--try angling it upwards at an angle. 3) It's made the correct way and looks just like mine. It takes a bit of practice, and make sure to spin it really fast. Check my "Super Boomerang" Video (Link above) for another demonstration of how it's thrown. This will keep you busy for hours and is fun for all ages. Once you show off your boomerang to friends, they are definitely going to want one! Please refer them to this video if you enjoy! :-) Hope that everyone had a great break and got to spend time with the family :-) It has ...

How to Make an Origami Flapping Bird

In this tutorial, I will teach you how to make an Origami Flapping Bird (really flaps!) using a regular sheet of printer paper. If you have any origami or square paper, that would be ideal to use. Making the Origami Flapping Bird is very similar to making the Origami Crane, yet with fewer folds. We must know how to make the Origami Bird Base, from which we can then make the flapping bird. I teach how to make the Bird Base step by step in this tutorial, but if you already know how to make it, you may fast forward to around 5:30. If you already know how to make the Bird Base, you may fast forward to around 5:30 to learn how to convert the bird base into a flapping bird. To make the bird flap, you hold the neck and pull on the tail. As always, please comment, rate and subscribe for notification of my future videos. Post any questions in the comment section and also let me know what else you would like to learn. Thanks for watching! -Rob

How to make an Origami Cherry Blossom Ball

How to make an Origami Cherry Blossom Ball, design by Tomoko Fuse (who else could make such amazing designs...). Use at least 16x16 cm squares or be ready for some serious paper wrestling... Believe me what you see in the video is not much hassle compared to making one from from 9x9 cm memo block papers. In the end I got better at assembling it but still it remains a lot of hassle... well worth it :D Music (too lazy search for other royalty free stuff...) by pacdv.com

How to make Origami Buckyballs from PHiZZ units

Instruction on how to make "buckyballs" (dodecahedron, truncated icosahedron) from "PHiZZ" units. www.merrimack.edu For what it's worth...some facts: - It looks complicated but it is really easy to make. Much easier than the "5 intersecting tetrahedra" or even an origami swan! - The unit used in this modular is Thomas Hull's "PHiZZ" unit (pentagon-hexagon zig-zag unit). - Another advantage is you can fold it from standard square memo pads and do something else the same time as these PHiZZ units are really simple to make. - It may look fragile but the links are quite strong you can build giant models with these. - The big model shown the "standard" buckyball is a representation of the Buckminster fullerene molecule, which consists of 60 carbon atoms arranged in a sphere (32 planes: 12 pentagons and 20 hexagons all neatly arranged around a sphere). - Very good remedy against boredom, high blood pressure, smoking, insanity, anxiety, stress, excess spare time, restlessness etc. etc.! ;) Music by www.pacdv.com/sounds/ - "oriental drift"
