Franz Grothe composed the music for the 1938 movie "Immer wenn ich glücklich bin" (Whenever I'm happy) starring Marta Eggerth and Frits van Dongen. This Austrian musical was Marta Eggerth's final German language movie before emigrating to the USA with her husband Jan Kiepura. Together with the tender "Immer wenn ich glücklich bin" - "Manola" - a carioca - became a very popular song. Grothe and Eggerth had already worked together on the movies "Ihr grösster Erfolg" (1934), "Die blonde Carmen" (1935), "Das Schloss in Flandern" (1936) and Grothe had accompanied Eggerth to Hollywood in 1936 in the hope of getting work there.... The video features images of Marta Eggerth as well as a sequence from "Das Schloss in Flanden" (1936). Corny Ostermann was born as Cornelius Andreas Oostermann in 1911. He formed his first band at the beginning of the 1930s. He was a popular band leader in the late 30s and early 40s. He recorded until late 1943 before he was drafted into the army. He went missing in action and was never heard of again. About the record : Kristall 5183 / mx. Chairwoman of the Federal Association of Young Entrepreneurs (BJU), who has her own commercial enterprise. DW-TV: I am now joined in the studio by Marie-Christine Ostermann, Chairwoman of the German Association of Young Entrepreneurs. She has her own business as well. Did you put your workers on short-time? Marie-Christine Ostermann: No, we didn't have to use that instrument. We got along quite well. DW-TV: You were one of the lucky companies here in Germany. Lots of companies had to. I think it cost almost five billion euros just last year for short-time workers. Was it a good investment? Marie-Christine Ostermann: I think during the crisis it was a very good investment, but during the long run the companies should get on well without this instrument of short-time work. DW-TV: I think the government has extended it now until 2012. Marie-Christine Ostermann: Yes, it has. But it's a subsidy. It costs lots of money and the federal debt is so high at the moment and we really have to save money. And the economy is growing again. We really should revoke this instrument. DW-TV: So you're saying stop the short-time funding now. OK, if we were to stop it, what would you do to ensure there's not more unemployment? People who are about to lose their jobs are certainly not going to like what you're saying. JARED OSTERMANN (Winner of RCCO Prize) Jared Ostermann is a doctoral student at the University of Kansas, where he studies organ with James Higdon. He received his Masters of Sacred Music degree in 2009 from the University of Notre Dame, where he studied with Craig Cramer. His Bachelor in Church Music is from the University of Kansas (2007), where he studied with Michael Bauer. Jared has been awarded prizes at a number of competitions, including the Miami International Organ Competition, the John R. Rodland Scholarship Competition, and the San Marino Organ Competition. He was also a semi-finalist in the 2011 Dublin International Organ Competition. Jared is currently the Director of Music at St. Ann Catholic Church in Prairie Village, Kansas. He is also the founder and director of Sursum Corda, a Kansas City-area choir specializing in Renaissance Polyphony. Jared lives in Lawrence, Kansas with his wife Barbara and their children Sophia and Dominic.

Marie Christine Ostermann wurde 1978 als ältere von zwei Töchtern in Hamm geboren. Mit der Firma des Vaters hatte sie zunächst kaum Berührungspunkte. Als sie sich jedoch mit 16 Jahren entschied, später den Familienbetrieb zu übernehmen, ordnete sie fortan alles diesem Ziel unter. Sie studierte Betriebswirtschaft an der renommierten Universität im schweizerischen St. Gallen, absolvierte eine Banklehre und sammelte erste praktische Erfahrungen bei einem Lebensmitteldiscounter. 2006 trat sie in die Firma ihres Vaters ein, um in absehbarer Zukunft die alleinige Führung des Familienunternehmens zu übernehmen. Sie hat selbst ein Handelsunternehmen. Mit ihr sprechen wir über Unternehmensgründerinnen und über aktuelle Entwicklungen am Arbeitsmarkt. DW-TV: Marie-Christine Ostermann ist bei mir, Vorsitzende vom Verband Die Jungen Unternehmer . Frau Ostermann das ist natürlich ein tolles Beispiel, aber wir haben mal geguckt wie viele Unternehmen im letzten Jahr gegründet wurden. Neugründungen von Unternehmen gab es insgesamt im letzten Jahr 590.000, sogar über 590.000, und 206.000 davon wurden von Frauen gegründet, aber fast doppelt so viele von Männern. Woran liegt das eigentlich? Sind Frauen risikoscheuer? Marie-Christine Ostermann: Nein, das glaube ich überhaupt nicht. Aber ich finde, dass wir in Deutschland einfach noch bessere Bedingungen für Frauen brauchen, ein Unternehmen zu gründen oder eine Führungsposition einzunehmen. Und hier ist ganz wichtig die Vereinbarkeit von Familie und Beruf. Wir brauchen mehr Ganztagsschulen, mehr Kitaplätze ganz schnell. DW-TV: Wie kann man denn Frauen motivieren, sie haben es gerade schon gesagt: Kitaplätze mehr, Ganztagsschulen... Wie kriegt man sie aber auch an dieser unternehmerischen Seite gepackt? Marie-Christine Ostermann: Ja begeistern können wir sie z. B. durch positive Beispiele, wie unser Projekt Schüler im Chefsessel Junger Unternehmer, wo Frauen, aber auch Männer ins Unternehmen kommen können, um einen Tag mit einem Unternehmer verbringen, um zu sehen, wie das überhaupt ist als Unternehmer. Ich kann nur sagen, es macht so viel Spaß <b>...</b>
