my first weekend driving the lm, #79891...at the last minute decided to run the car in the historic race. quali'd pole but finished second behind todd morici in his bb lm. car needs a fair amount of suspension work, but once done it will hopefully handle a lot better. right now there is very little front end grip through the slow stuff...other than that the car really moves and is a blast to drive

This is a 1966-model GT40 Mk.I doing some test laps at Palm Beach International Raceway. Filmed during Brian Redman's Targa 66 program in February 2009, the car is a prototype of the GT40R being built to compete in HSR and SVRA historic racing. Behind the wheel is Divina Galica, a former Formula 1 driver and olympic skiing champion from the UK. This car is Superformance chassis number GT40P/2192 and is registered in the Safir GT40 and Shelby Registries. This particular car was featured in the March 2009 edition of 'Car & Driver' magazine. GT40P/2192 was prepared by Pathfinder Motorsports, which sells race-prepared GT40Rs for vintage racing. For more info: www.GT40racing.com

There were several NHRA teams out to test at Palm Beach International Raceway for this years invitation only Test Session. The track proved to have excellent traction which resulted in high 3 second ETs and 300 mph charges. Alan Johnsons new Al-Anabi team made its debut with Top Fuel driver Larry Dixon and Funny Car pilot Del Worsham. Also on hand were Tony Schumacher, Cory McClenathan, Tim Wilkerson, Bob Tasca III, Ron Capps, Jack Beckman, and Jeff Arend. Rickie Smith, Shannon Jenkins, and Burton Auxier was also there making some shakedown passes in their Pro Mods. All of the drivers, crew chiefs, and owners seemed to be enjoying themselves in the 80 degree January temperatures.

This is just a short video of us trying to finish off these last set of tires and put on a little exit show for the croud after a two day Drift Demo at PBIR on 10/17-18/2009. By the way when I went out on that run the tires were already down to the steel bands and shreading making them like driving on ice. You can see chunks of tire fly off as I drive. I am sorry but we had camera troubls and lost all of the awsome footage from earlyer in the day but at least you can get a feel of the track. Ok, it's a long story why this is on Keeb's account. Anyway, I attended the Frank Kinsey race school at PBIR on 05.01.09. This was th 3rd session. I was having an awesome day- my knees finally where draggin (everywhere, lol), my body positioning was great, and my corner speed was better than before. The track is a sweet track, no complaints. I started this session in 4th position and of course (as always), my goal was to be out in front. And wouldn't ya know it...I did just that plus 2 more. Then... I low-side. What a disappointment! My bike runs normal and I'm ok. But I did learn from this fall. I went too wide in a corner and tried to over correct it instead of just easing off the throttle, staying wide and straightening up, and getting teady for the next corner. Hey, if Ben Spies and Scott Russell can fall, so can I. I had a blast out there.

Florida region is VERY competitive with many of the front runners holding AMA pro licences including winner Santiago Villa, Bruno Silva (2nd) may not YET but competes in the Brazilian national championship, Manny Manusthuakis (3rd) and Charlie Long (5th right behind me). Still learning the track a bit and turning in early in some corners, and too late in others. My 600cc superbike is FAST so if i can get a little more front end confidence we will be closer to the front.
