The Dual Shock thing originally came out of the Playstation 1 PS1 oh so long ago, then they remade it black and sold it with the PS2 when it was released in 2000. Classic Game Room reviews the Japanese Sony Playstation 2 model PS2 SCPH-90000. If you want to play games like Thunder Force 6 and Front Mission 5 you need a machine that can play them, and American PS2's just won't do the trick. You really only have 2 options, modifications or importing a Japanese PS2. CGR decided to purchase a new Japanese region NTSC 100v PS2 from Play-asia.com with a heaping jar of pocket change and play Thunder Force VI like it's our job (it is). There are tons of import titles available only in Japan for the Playstation 1 and PS2. For some reason (money) these game companies make certain genres region locked or encoded and contain them to market specific parts of the world. They assume that Americans don't want to play Japanese SHMUPS like TF6 or Macross Plus or strategy games like Front Mission 2 and FM5. They thought wrong! We do want to play these games and although not cheap, it's not like you have to cut your arm off either. Importing a Japanese region NTSC Playstation 2 has never been easier or less expensive. This SCPH-90000 works on American AC power and plays games just like a US PS2. You can even set the system menus to English, and most games seem to have English menus anyway. Works with American PS2 memory cars. This review shows the differences between a Japanese PS2 and an American PS2 and how they stack up side by side. PS2 Silent Hill: Origins Full Walkthrough Part 1 Introduction and saving Alessa. --- Well, been a while since I've uploaded any videos, I'm going to be uploading Silent Hill: Origins' PS2 re-release. This is gonna cover the entire game again, I won't be doing any second runs, but I'll be including a thing or two not in my PSP videos. Few first impressions so far: I like the updated character models, but Travis looks very stoned, it's awkward. All enemies have gotten a texture update too, so they look nastier, also the game seems to be darker than the PSP version with brightness toggle off. READ THIS FIRST BEFORE MAKING COMMENTS. Allot of people seem to think this is the PC version of the game and I'm using mods, this is not the case. I can understand why some of you think this at a first glance but just look at the video, why does it have black borders around it? It has those black borders because it's a PAL 50Hz TV signal. If it was the PC version it would not have those black borders and the quality would be pristine clear, not fuzzy because of an analogue signal. Update: Since I'm getting way too many messages about how I did the cheats in the game I will say it here. I used an Xploder cheat device which you can get by going to xploder.net and I used cheat codes from cheatdevice.com Also I will now no longer reply to messages that ask how I did or where to get the cheats etc. So if you're too ignorant to read this, not my problem. Should have added this sooner but if you have no idea what a Cheat device is then read up; en.wikipedia.org .

The cave area in the video is darker than it should be and is how I saw it on my tv which fixes darkness at that level for everything. The darkness is only for a short while though and gives it more atmosphere.
