This musical concert, organized by Pakhtoonkhwa Arts and Culture Project, was held at Navy Auditorium Hall, Karachi on December 6, 2010. Host: Bakhtiar Khattak With the name of Allah, the most Merciful and Mighty Assalam-o-alaikum I welcome you all to this cultural show, organized by Pakhtoonkhwa Arts and Culture Project. People belonging to different areas of Pakhtoonkhwa are participating in it. As you know that situation in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa unfortunately, is disturbing for the last several years. This has damaged all walks of life, especially the art, artists and writers. Efforts are underway to revive cultural activities. The Pakhtoonkhwa Art and Culture Project arranged cultural programmes in Peshawar and Islamabad. This is the third programme of the series being held in Karachi. The main purpose of this show is not just to entertain you by listening to songs but to encourage artists to express their sentiments before you as they have been badly affected by the disturb situation in Pakhtoonkhwa. The whole of Pakhtoonkhwa, Particularly Malakand Agency, has suffered the most. Now, I invite the host, Mohammad Rome Khan to the stage to express his views. Dancing reflects our unity. The world is jealous of it. People of the world cannot copy it. I am going to tell a story. Once, an ugly woman was passing through a path. All at once an aged person met him. He asked the ugly woman what she desired. The lady asked for having feather attached with her body. The aged person being a holy personality, prayed for the lady and she got feathers. She started flying with the feathers. The lady then asked the aged person see whether she looked like a fairy. The aged person replied that she was not looking like a fairy rather a female bat. This was just a gossip. We present different items in which representatives from Karachi and Swat are participating. Situation remained disturbed in Swat recently. Even brave youth cannot face such challenges. Now, I am inviting an artist from Swat who suffered too much due to this unfavourable situation. He, like many others, lived in a tent in the hot days of June and July. They suffered greatly and great injustice has been done to them. Despite so many troubles, this youth has the courage to come and perform before in a big city of Karachi. He is a good artist and has annoyed his family due to this very art of singing.
