Debunking the Palestine Lie

Learn more here: tinyurl.com Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has launched an international campaign to achieve recognition by the United Nations for an independent Palestinian state. Abbas and his international supporters claim that only Israel (with the United States) stands in the way of this act of historical justice, which would finally bring about peace in the Middle East. This video debunks the Palestinians' claim and shows that Abbas has been lying about the origins and history of the conflict. Palestinian leaders have rejected partition plans that would have given them much more land for their independent state than the Jews were offered for theirs. Rather than being the innocent victims of a "dispossession" at the hands of the Israelis, the Palestinians rejected reasonable compromises and instead pursued their aim of getting rid of the only Jewish state in the world. The History of Palestine

History of Palestine Zionism arrived in Palestine in the late 19th as a colonialist movement motivated by national impulses. The colonisation of Palestine fitted well the interests and policies of the British Empire on the eve of the First World War. With the backing of Britain, the colonisation project expanded, and became a solid presence on the land after the war and with the establishment of the British mandate in Palestine (which lasted between 1918 and 1948). While this consolidation took place, the indigenous society underwent, like other societies in the rest of the Arab world, a steady process of establishing a national identity. But with one difference. While the rest of the Arab world was shaping its political identity through the struggle against European colonialism, in Palestine nationalism meant asserting your collective identity against both an exploitative British colonialism and expansionist Zionism. Thus, the conflict with Zionism was an additional burden. The pro-Zionist policy of the British mandate there naturally strained the relationship between Britain and the local Palestinian society. This climaxed in a revolt in 1936 against both London and the expanding Zionist colonisation project. The revolt, which lasted for three years, failed to sway the British mandate from a policy it had already decided upon in 1917. The British foreign secretary, Lord Balfour, had promised the Zionist leaders that Britain would help the movement to build a homeland ...

The Story of Palestine

When the United Nations, in 1977, proclaimed 29 November of each year as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, it was a clear admission of guilt towards this people. It was recognition that the Palestinian people deserve international solidarity and support, in the name of justice and rights. This was merely one small event in a long story. The story of Palestine and its people is one that will go down in history. In fact it has already started to do just that. One might say that the victor is the one that writes history. The victor in this case will inevitably be justice, and justice is at the core of the Palestinian struggle against apartheid, colonialism and oppression. And as in every episode in history, everyone will be mentioned according to their positions, and more importantly their deeds with respect to each story. In the day of solidarity, let us remember that.

Oct. 31 - The United States says it has stopped funding UNESCO, the UN cultural agency, following its vote to grant the Palestinians full membership. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).

Punished for Palestine: 'UNESCO will survive US cuts'

Palestine has, for the first time ever, received recognition by a UN body - its cultural arm has accepted it as a fully-fledged member. But this decision comes at a price for UNESCO - with the US cutting its funding to the organisation, which represents almost a quarter of its budget. Ramzy Baroud, editor at the palestinechronicle.com , thinks Washington's move is unfair, but says UNESCO will survive. RT on Twitter http RT on Facebook www.facebook.com

There were tears of joy in the West Bank and Gaza on Tuesday as friends and relatives welcomed back Palestinian prisoners freed by Israel. Thousands gathered outside the Palestinian presidential compound in the West Bank city of Ramallah to celebrate the moment. Many were reunited with relatives who had been held in Israeli jails for years. Large crowds also waited on the outskirts of east Jerusalem for returning prisoners. Israel withholds Palestinian tax revenues

Palestinians say they are outraged by the Israeli government's decision to withhold millions of dollars of tax revenues from them while accelerating settlement construction. The decision follows Palestine being recognised as a state by UNESCO - the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. There are now 150000 Palestinian Authority employees across the West Bank and Gaza who do not know whether they will receive their full salaries next week. Turning Tables: 'Israel illegal occupier if Palestine recognized'

The Israeli Defence Force is reportedly preparing settlers for the mass uprising of Palestinians, expected after the UN votes on a Palestinian statehood in September. The preparations include handing out tear gas and stun grenades to civilians. US cuts off UNESCO funding over Palestine vote

The United States government has cut off funds to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural organisation (UNESCO), following the agency's admission of Palestine as a full member. Washington's decision to withold $60m in funding, which is about one-quarter of UNESCO's annual budget, came after 107 out of 173 countries voted in favor of the Palestinian bid for statehood. Although UNESCO's membership marks a small victory for Palestinian officials, it could help them protect more than 20 monumental Palestinian cultural and religious sites. The US also condemned UNESCO's move, saying that it "undermines" the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians. Rosiland Jordan reports.

Palestine Welcomes Released Prisoners

The first phase of the Palestinian-Israeli prisoner exchange took place on Tuesday morning where hundreds of Palestinian inmates were swapped across the border in exchange of the detained Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. The deal will end the much publicized five year long captivity of Shalit in Gaza and see the release of 477 Palestinians at this stage. Shalit was handed over to Egypt, who helped broker the deal, before being returned to Israel. On Monday Israel's Supreme Court allowed the deal to go ahead after rejecting petitions from the public calling on the halt to the release of prisoners serving life sentences for deadly attacks. A majority of the Palestinian inmates who were held in Israel's southern Negev desert left in a heavily guarded convoy. Female prisoners in another prison left from the center of the country. The prisoners were released in Kerem Shalom crossing which borderrs Egypt and the Hamas-run Gaza Strip as well as the West Bank. According to officials the second phase of the prisoner exchange is expected to take place in two months, and will see the release of a further 550 Palestinian prisoners. Over 6000 Palestinian prisoners are held in Israel. In Gaza, Hamas was prepared to welcome the 295 prisoners released on Tuesday. Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri referred to the moment the prisoners were leaving their jails as "a historic" one. "We consider these as historic and unique moments. Pink Floyd - Song for Palestine

Unfortunate truths become worthless in worthless hands! THE FIRST PALESTINE SYMPHONY EVER: www.youtube.com ROGER WATER'S (PINK FLOYD) SONG FOR GAZA: Over the new year 2009-2010, an international group of 1500 men and women from 42 nations went to Egypt to join a Freedom March to Gaza. They did this to protest the current blockade of Gaza. To protest the fact that the people of Gaza live in a virtual prison. To protest the fact that a year after the terror attack by Israeli armed forces destroyed most of their homes, hospitals, schools, and other public buildings, they have no possibility to rebuild because their borders are closed. The would be Freedom Marchers wanted to peacefully draw attention to the predicament of the Palestinian population of Gaza. The Egyptian government, (funded to the tune of $2.1 billion a year, by us, the US tax payers), would not allow the marchers to approach Gaza. How lame is that? And how predictable! I live in the USA and during this time Dec 25th 2009-Jan3rd 2010 I saw no reference to Gaza or the Freedom March or the multi national protesters gathered there. Anyway I was moved, in the circumstances, to record a new version of "We shall overcome". It seems appropriate. (Roger Waters) PALESTINE SYMPHONY FACEBOOK PAGE: www.facebook.com

The Truth About Judaism, Zionism and Palestine by Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss

Extracted from; www.youtube.com True Jews Reveal "Netanyahu is NOT welcome by the Jewish people he is a Con job" . The truth is that the Jewish faith and Zionism are two very different philosophies. They are as opposite as day and night. The Jewish people have existed for thousands of years. In their two thousand years of Divinely decreed exile no Jew ever sought to end this exile and establish independent political sovereignty anywhere. The people's sole purpose was the study and fulfillment of the Divine commandments of the Torah. The Zionist movement created the Israeli state. The latter is a persuasion less than one hundred years old. Its essential goal was and is to change the nature of the Jewish people from that of a religious entity to a political movement. From Zionism's inception the spiritual leaders of the Jewish people stood in staunch opposition to it. To this day Torah Jewry remains forever loyal to its faith. Zionists want the world to believe that they are the representatives of the entire Jewish people. This is false! The Jewish people never chose them as their leaders. The Zionists have deceived many well meaning Jewish people via terror, trickery and false propaganda. They have at their disposal the use of a nearly universally subservient media. Whoever attempts to criticize them puts his livelihood and, at times, his very life in danger. Nakba Day: Return to Palestine

On the 15th of May of every year, Palestinians and the whole world remember how it all started. How the Israelis' ethnic cleansing of a people and the destruction of a society - the Nakba - was met with global indifference. Many factors made it so, but among them was a Zionist propaganda machine that illustrated the crime committed in Palestine in 1948 as a war of independence against aggressive Arabs and Palestinians. It is true that the Palestinians and the rest of the Arab people resisted the establishment of a racist regime in Palestine. And they still do. It is only normal. If anyone comprehends the extent of the injustice that has been committed against the Palestinian people, they would not even ask why they are so determined in their pursuit of justice. And if anyone knows the history of the Palestinian struggle, they would realize that this people will continue to resist in every form until they see the justice they have so longed for restored. On 15 May 2011, the world is invited to express its understanding, solidarity and support to a people that has resisted... and continues to do so, for Justice in Palestine.
