All of the USPA AFF course jumps from the Pilatus Porter @ 13000 feet with a student Manta 288sqft parachute. Starts with a 1 day ground school with everything from the mechanics of a parachute to handling several types of malfunctions. They also train you emergency techniques so much you could perhaps do them in your sleep. Tandem: did not enjoy as much as my first tandem of 2008, made me terribly terribly anxious for few hours, on top of it left ear out, loadsa pain, and was on thoughts about whether to continue the rest of the course, Wayne gave a good pep talk and i was back on :) Level 1 - mis-communication with Wayne on exit, stamped his foot hard when he asked to get my other knee forward, 13kexitJump, Arch, 3 practice touches, (did a subconscious 4th practice touch :D), 5500 pull, best feeling when opened my first solo parachute and i'm all alone up there, a big "yuhoooo" , got to maneuver through the clouds, head to holding area, easy instructions, winds has picked up and upwind final turn approach had a lot of resistance and flared on radio assistance, and i landed on my ass :) www.youtube.com Level 2 - 13kexit, jump, Arch, 2 practice touches, 3sec forward track (i did perhaps half a second after feeling it forward), Left 90(i did more than 90), Right90(got assistance), 5500 pull, again best thing of opening parachute, this time played around more with parachute, was way above 1000 feet before final 3 side left approach, realized not at right height, did a 8 <b>...</b>
