
On October 17, 2010, Project Sakinah, an initiative of Dar al Islam, gathered Muslim community in Hayward, CA, to initiate a talk about ending domestic violence in Muslim community. This video presents the talk given by Anas Coburn, managing director of Project Sakinah. Other speakers include Aimee Thompson of Close to Home, Dr. Mohammad Rajabally of NISA, Imam Tahir Anwar of South Bay Islamic Association, Imam Muhammad Abdul Latif Finch of Lighthouse Mosque, Shenaaz Janmohamed of Muslim Advocates Against Violence (MAAV) and Dr. Mohammad Shafi, chairman of board of trustess of Dar al Islam. The co-sponsors of the event include California State University East Bay Muslim Students Association, Muslim Advocates Against Violence, Mental Health for Muslims, and SEMAH Inc.
