Mary Wilson 'My Love Life is a Disaster' 1985
For Mary fans. I recorded this video - the lighting was low (that's how it is in recording studios!) and on that day I made three new friends - Kevin Melville, Steven Teece and the late, great Paul Delapenha. The track was never released. It was originally planned to be DUSTY SPRINGFIELD'S 2nd single on the Hippodrome label but Dusty refused to record it. The backing track had already been recorded. The label owner Peter Stringfellow asked Mary to put her voice on it. The other vocalist is UK session singer Dottie Green. Not a great song and really dumb lyrics. No wonder Dusty said no thanks.
