Piaggio innove une nouvelle fois et dote son 3 roues dune version hybride, prenant encore une avance sur la concurrence. Ce MP3 hybride couple un moteur thermique 125 injection et un moteur électrique de 2600 watts. Le programme de gestion prévoit trois modes avec un Power hybrid qui combine propulsion thermique et électrique pour une meilleure efficacité au démarrage et en reprises. Le mode Hybrid charge permet de recharger les batteries en usage thermique et le dernier mode est totalement électrique avec une autonomie de lordre de 15 à 20 km et une vitesse maxi de 30 km/h.
