Pin-Curls Part 2 (Brushing Out Your Curls)
Please read! :) I've received a lot of questions since my last pin-curl video, so I've decided to make a "part 2" video on the matter... and hopefully, elaborate on what I *didn't* demonstrate. Again, I have to say that a lot of the tricks and techniques to doing pin-curls are simple trial and error. Every girl is different, with hair equally as unique. So you really have to just pick a day, when you have plenty of time to experiment, and don't have anyone to impress... try out the pin curls and various brushing techniques, with various products too see what works for YOU :) For this particular occasion, I did *not* use any product what so ever! I simply started with hair mostly dry (I used a wet comb, and brushed each section of hair just before rolling it up). However, I most often use a little hair putty at the ends of my hair to set and as a finishing touch after styling, hairspray to polish the look off and to give a little extra hold. Usually this look is glamorous, elegant and feminine but I wanted to give it a younger, fun and sweeter twist by the influence of dolls. Almost Ulzzang/Anime inspired. The main focus are upon the eyelashes. I will show you how I apply UPPER and LOWER false lashes the more natural method (and if you are noob like me). Remember you do not have the use the products that I use. I trust you guys to be able to find duplicates (or better) with your own experience =) Its not always about the product. Its about your own ability ^_^. My philosophy of makeup is Simple, Clean yet Effective. The eyelashes I used are purchased in a pack of 10 in HK. You can check out Ebay. Remember, I reccommend NON-Rimmed eyelashes. Especially for lower lashes. As for upper lashes, I reccommend ones that Criss Cross. Retro/Pin Up Makeup Tutorial
Finally! I've been getting requests for makeup tutorials for a looong time and I've finally gotten around to making one. I thought I would show you my favorite look for my very first one. This is pretty much my go-to look these days: It's basically a pin up style face. I've gotten a lot of requests for this particular look so I hope this helps all of you that asked! *This is also very similar to what I do for "Ariel" and "Snow White" makeup. It works well for characters. The only changes would be a slightly thinner line on the eyeliner, a bit more blush, and of course for Snow making the brows match accordingly. (and oops! I forgot to line my waterline with white/pearl pencil. It really makes your eyes "wake up." My bad! Try that trick with this look-you'll love it!) Key Products: Start with a good set of makeup brushes...I love MAC's but I've found some decent ones at Sally Beauty Supply and Ulta Stores. MAC Studio Tech foundation (Good for lots of coverage. I also just recently bought their Liquid Studio Fix foundation and I love it! It works great with their foundation primer). Loose Powder (Cover girl or Maybelline is fine) MAC blush in Peaches and Pink Swoon A white/ivory/pearly shadow. (I think the one I used here is by Maybelline...I wish I could use all MAC products but a starving artist like me can't always afford the good stuff! Lol. I always recommend MAC products over drugstore brands, but of course you can supplement with lesser products and still look good <b>...</b>

Update: 9/10/11 Remy passed quietly away in his sleep at 6am this morning. I am forever grateful to have shared my family with such a kind and loving being. 4/26/05 - 9/10/11 I miss you already Remy. 9/07/11 Update: Remy had a checkup on the 5th and everything seemed to be going well, today Remy had a huge setback and had fainting episodes and a very blue tongue due to severe breathing problems and lack of oxygen his diuretics were increased, that has helped. It is so hard to accept that he is getting worse. Why do we become so attached to another creature with such a short lifespan? They love us so unconditionally, we willingly fall in love just to be wrecked when they pass. I almost lost him today, and I know am not ready to let go. 6/10/11 Update: Today Remy was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, at 6yrs old Remy should be in the prime of his life I cannot imagine my family without him. Remy says "let the baby sleep!" Dj, was 7 weeks old here :) ~Panja4 (There have been a few comments about the sounds that Dj is making .... actually Remy is making ALL the sounds.)
