Classic Game Room HD - PIT FIGHTER for Sega Genesis review

Classic Game Room HD reviews PIT FIGHTER for Sega Genesis from 1991. This fighting game falls into the "so bad that it's awesome" category. 90's style, button mashing fighting, digitized Mortal Kombat-style graphics and unitelligible voice dialog... this game has it all! There's sweaty meat heads, stereotypical martial arts fighters and a chick in pseudo-bondage gear that taunts you and throws knives. Pit Fighter is as cheesy as it gets and remarkably enjoyable considering how tremendously bad it really is. Smash barrels and bar stools over your oppontents' heads and watch out for the crowd which inches forward to stab you. Pit Fighter has 2 player fighting so that you and a friend can enjoy the senseless violence and mayhem. You gotta play it! This CGR review of Pit Fighter has gameplay from the Sega Genesis cartridge of Pit Fighter showing Pit Fighter video game play in action. Based on the awesome arcade stand up machine. The WORST SNES Game Ever: Pit Fighter Review

Impossible enemies, a lack of strategy, the frame rate of a picture slide show, and the graphics of Mortal Kombat if it was ported to the Atari 2600 all combine to make this an unholy relic of video game past.

The Japanese arcade release was published by Konami. The graphic animation for the player character(s) and opponents were created through a bluescreen process, where the various poses & moves of the characters were acted out by hired actors in front of a video camera. The game's on-screen character animation are replays of the actual footage, not a rotoscoped (redrawn) animation as was common in other games. Live-action shooting reached a brief highpoint with later arcade titles such as Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam, before gaming trends shifted away. Gameplay The gameplay is similar to Taito's Violence Fight and SNK's Street Smart. The player begins Pit-Fighter by choosing one of the three playable characters, who all have different moves, speed, and power. As many as three people can play at a time, but there will be extra opponents to fight during any of this game's 15 different matches. Every third fight is known as a Grudge Match. In a Grudge Match, the player must fight against a CPU controlled clone of his or her fighter (if playing alone) or the other players ...

AWFUL GAME: Pit Fighter (SNES)

With 4000 subscribers and support from all my fans, AWFUL GAMES is back with a vengeance! Today's episode covers a game I played in my childhood and possibly...no, DEFINITELY the worst fighting game ever created: Pit Fighter for the SNES. I've played fighting games all my life and I know for damn sure that there is no other fighting game worse than this. You can bank on that! Oh and this review won't use any of the old gags to try to make it funny. Instead, this review puts more emphasis on wits, sarcasm and wisecracks, although there is still some cussing. This is good for a game like this because...let's face it. Nobody can take ANY of these characters seriously. I also made a new AWFUL GAMES logo and theme song to make the series fresh. Anyway, hope you enjoy! _________________________________________ Blog: allierx.blogspot.com "Like" AllieRX on Facebook: www.facebook.com Follow AllieRX on Twitter: twitter.com

CGRundertow PIT-FIGHTER for Sega Genesis Video Game Review

Classic Game Room presents a CGRUndertow review of Pit-Fighter, developed by Atari and published by Tengen for the Sega Genesis. Ported to the Sega Genesis from the arcade, Pit-Fighter allows you to control one of three combatants as you compete in the deepest, darkest recesses of the underground fighting circuit. Kickboxing, wrestling, and kungfu styles are the trademark of this arcade survival fighting classic. This video review features video gameplay footage of Pit-Fighter and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Eric. Amiga Longplay [753] Pit Fighter

www.recordedamigagames.org Played by Ironclaw Game release year: 1991 The controls are horrible and the difficulty is INSANE! I could very well be the FIRST one to complete the Amiga version without the use of cheat codes or trainers (was almost impossible with save states) Unlike the arcade version, the Amiga version only has one fire button, so to keep all the moves and stuff they had to make do with just one button (some Amiga games supports 2 buttons though). I bet it's easy to jump in the arcade version, but in this version you have to hold down+fire, release fire and press up... bleh. Sometimes I'm all over the place trying to pull off the moves I want. Sometimes he won't turn around so I kick/punch in the wrong direction, that's because I have to let go of everything first and wait like 0.5 sec before turning, or he keeps hitting the wrong direction. This game has been ported to many other systems, and the Amiga version isn't the worst of them. Like always, the Amiga version has the better music. I chose to play as Ty because he's the weakest one (imo). My fav though is Kato, and the easiest one to complete the game with is Buzz (imo). I usually pick the weaker character in my longplays, like in my Elfmania and Dune II longplays. Luckily I found some cheating tactics to take down some of the enemies. Some can't be thrown which makes it alot harder. At match 10 when I met TWO of the non-throwing kind I didn't think I was gonna make it, but I found yet another trick ...

PIT-FIGHTER (Sega Genesis) Glitches and Review - The Game Weenie

My 2nd video game review. Pit Fighter is a classic, so I took a lot of time talking about it. 3 minutes in, an earthquake happened when I was filming, and I wasn't happy, you'll see as you watch it. But never the less, I was able to finish the review, this is one of my earlier game reviews, but they get much better later.

The Pit Fighter game played of the begin at the end, using TY.

SNES Pit Fighter Destroyed in 9:05.

Originally, I was going to do those AVGN style video game reviews. But when I was getting the gameplay footage of this, I realized I just did a no death speed run of this. So instead, I left it as a speed run, but I did added lots of comments of this game, just to tell you how bad this game, or should I say arcade port, really is. And if you feel masochistic, you could try to beat this speed run. But no using Game Genie or Save States.
Trashy Games #26: Pit Fighter (SNES)

A really terrible and pointless game I owned years ago, and was the worst SNES game I've ever played. It contains bad controls and dull gameplay... and it's so bad that every reviewer in GameFAQs that reviewed this game all gave it 1/10. No kidding see for yourself. However, the MegaDrive version seems fairly better... and that I did win against The Executioner when I played this yesterday. How lucky was that? I wish that happened again.
Bears In Games - Pit-Fighter

In this episode of Bears In Games, Johnny takes a look at Pit-Fighter, the Atari arcade release from 1990. Featuring state-of-the-art digitized musclemen, bulges, biker bears, and chunky musclebears in tights and executioner's masks, Pit-Fighter may be one of the most heterosexual games ever made. Wait, no. It holds a special place in Johnny's heart due to the concurrency of its release and his puberty. Johnny still mourns to this day the ad featuring a closeup of Chainman Eddie that he misplaced.
