Pocahontas - "If I Never Knew You"
The song NOT included in the theatrical release of the film, "If I Never Knew You," though put into the release of the 10th Anniversary Edition DVD. I love this song, and I am SO glad they put it back in. Makes the whole scene much more effective. Also, this is my first Youtube upload, soo...Yay me! And if you notice the audio to be a little crackly, I do apologize. [EDIT] To answer some of the questions in the comments, this song was originally intended for the film and was almost finished, when Disney ran the movie (with the song) to a few test audience, and the younger--read, the kid--audience pretty much started squirming during this song, probably wanting to get back to the action. However, the song performed well with the teen and adult audiences. (Taken from the SE DVD's commentary.) Also, YES, that is Mel Gibson singing. He also does all of the rest of John Smith's singing in the movie. Surprising, I know. If you doubt, just listen to the speaking voice. Same vocal quality. Sure, Judy Kuhn sings the pants off him, but he's not bad.

Pocahontas / Avatar Trailer crossover
Nobody had made it yet, so I decided somebody should. Lest people think I'm being mean to James Cameron, bear in mind its from his own mouth that his latest science fiction movie is based on the Disney film Pocahontas. This video was an attempt to see how close the parallels run and the result was...pretty darn close. Just some good natured fiun made at the expense of a film I consider taking itself way too seriously. - This is also an attempt to upload a video in HD resolution. At the end she is saying goodbye by seeing off a ghost ship with John in it that she has been seeing for a while. song/lyrics - (C) Disney Pocahontas (c. 1595 March 21, 1617[2]) was a Native American woman who married an Englishman, John Rolfe, and became a celebrity in London in the last year of her life. She was a daughter of Wahunsunacawh (also known as Chief or Emperor Powhatan), who ruled an area encompassing almost all of the tribes in the Tidewater region of Virginia (called Tenakomakah at the time). Her formal names were Matoaka (or Matoika) and Amonute[3]; Pocahontas was a childhood nickname referring to her frolicsome nature (in the Powhatan language it meant "little wanton", according to William Strachey[4]). Journey back to the beginning of coal mining in the Appalachians and the beginning of a new culture of people. Through oral histories, the film profiles the history and culture of the people. It features historic landmarks, such as the 70 year old exhibition mine, the 1883 company store, the 125 year old cemetery, the 1895 Opera House and various churches and buildings throughout town. In addition to the interviews of area residents, there are interviews with college professors, a local congressman, and local leaders. "Our hope is that people come away from watching and feel like we did when we first visited Pocahontas. The buildings are incredible, the history is fantastic, but neither compare to the real hidden treasures of the area, the stories of the people." Disney's Pocahontas Full Ending (HQ)
Disney's Pocahontas (1995) Additional information below break: This is the ending of Pocahontas which I believe you must see all together instead of just the last few minutes in order to really feel the emotional impact. Credits not included. Parts including in this video: Savages (Part 1) and Savages (Part 2), Execution (Score), Farewell (score) ** May contain spoilers to viewers who have not seen this wonderful film. ** In this video: Thomas warns the crewmen of Smith's capture, Ratcliffe rallying the men to go to battle as an excuse to remove the tribe and find their non-existent gold. Pocahontas goes to Grandmother Willow, but Meeko hands her a compass which points her in the direction of Smith, leading to her destiny. She successfully stops Smith's execution, but Ratcliffe tries to shoot Chief Powhatan in anger with Smith taking the bullet. The governor is captured and arrested by the crewmen. In the end, Smith is forced to return home to get treatment, with Pocahontas and Chief Powhatan's blessing to return in the future. I do not in any way shape or form own Disney, or Pocahontas, I just wanted to share the ending of this glorious film. I am not doing this under illegal manners, I own Pocahontas and many other Disney movies.
