At the Frankfurt Motor Show Audi is showcasing a small-series version of the A8 L W12 that is aimed at an exclusive group of connoisseurs. The sedan, being marketed under the "Audi exclusive concept" label, presents an exclusively finished interior -- with leather of the prestigious Poltrona Frau brand and olive ash natural inlays. The standard version of the A8, Audi's flagship model, is already a thrilling example of uncompromisingly high build quality -- the bespoke character of its interior appeals to all the senses. The brand takes the experience to a new level in the A8 L W12 Audi exclusive concept. The seats are upholstered in Cognac-colored leather by the exclusive Italian manufacturer Poltrona Frau -- a grade with an exceptionally soft, even, natural finish. There are highlights of granite gray piping on the center sections of the seat and seat backs. Leather elements on numerous parts of the interior -- such as the dashboard, the center console, the tunnel, the door trims and seat consoles -- round out the equipment; even the car key is trimmed in leather. The inlays made from the wood olive ash natural provide an elegant contrast to the leather by Poltrona Frau. The light gray-brown veneer has an exquisitely fine grain, a natural, slightly rough surface and a hint of silver in the pores that gives the wood's appearance a refined look. It is used extensively throughout the interior -- for instance as inserts in the seat backs, on the cockpit fascia, in the door <b>...</b>

Pershing 80 footer concentrates the pick of this famous shipyard's know-how into a yacht of large dimensions. A sleek, slender profile, achieved by the special fiber glass vacuum molding "Scrimp" system. Brilliantly ordered interior spaces, like the galley that has been separated from the saloon to offer guests even more privacy. Highly refined details exclusively crafted by Poltrona Frau, such as the seats, pilot house and the leather finishings in both the saloon and night zone. Liveability that has become contemporary luxury lifestyle in both the three and four cabin version. And naturally the best of Pershing technology, including the slide away glass partition between the cockpit and the saloon that has been further perfected to make the layout of these environments more adaptable. Plus, an exclusive hard top that extends and retracts completely and a spacious and highly modular sundeck area in the bows. The Pershing 80' also offers two different engine versions. Twin 2030 mhp MTU engines combine with a new and innovative Sea Rex ZF propulsion system, guarantee speeds of up to 43 knots. Whereas in the second, twin 2435 mhp MTU engines drive the boat up to speeds of around 50 knots when at a third of its full load. All in all, a new model where class and sporting spirit come together to enhance the pleasure of yachting.

Shanghai Volkswagen is presenting the New Lavida in a world premiere at Auto China 2012 in Beijing (23 April to 2 May). Launched in June 2008, the Lavida has quickly taken charge in the A-class car market. Cumulative sales volume of the Lavida topped 700000 units in January 2012. After four years, the New Lavida is making its appearance as a new member of the Lavida family. Similar to the New Passat, its completely restyled body reflects the current Volkswagen 'design DNA'. The face of the New Lavida has clean styling, and its body lines are sharp. Its overall styling fully embodies powerful, contemporary and sporty design principles. FAW Volkswagen is showing is showing the CC V6 with a 184 kW / 250 PS six-cylinder engine in a world premiere. In addition, Volkswagen is showing two pioneering concept cars -- the Cross Coupé (SUV with TDI plug-in hybrid) and E-Bugster (speedster with electric drive), the Tiguan R-Line (SUV with sporty, customised exterior and interior), the Scirocco R (188 kW / 255 PS top version of the coupé model series) and the Phaeton Exclusive Concept (with leather interior of the Italian 'Poltrona Frau' label).

Giulio Cappellini was born in Milan. He is in charge of Cappellini images and products as art director and at times designer. Many Cappellini products are present in the Permanent collections of major Contemporary Art Musuems. In 2004 Cappellini became part of a group of companies including Poltrona Frau and Cassina. He is also Art director for the companies Flaminia, Alcantara and Ridea. He organizes many design events and exhibitions.
