The title of this song is quite arbitrary, as I, unfortunately, have found nothing neither about the name of the singer, nor about its original title, in the credits of this film. (One is for sure: this song -as well as the music of the whole film- has written the excellent Mimis Plessas). So I' ve decided to name it "Summer Jenka", because the song praises the joys of summer (kalokairi) and because the rythm of it it's "Jenka". A dance from the '60s, that was quite popular these years. (From this extract you can have also an idea of the funny and cheerful way that it was danced...) This song is an extract from the film «Yparhei kai filotimo» from 1965, by Alekos Sakellarios, with some of the most beloved actors of these years, such as Lambros Konstandaras, his sister Mitsi Konstadara, Dionisis Papayiannopoulos, Nikitas Platis etc.
