Led by 33 points from senior guard Joe Rahon, Torrey Pines earned payback against Poway with a 63-50 victory - the Falcons' fifth straight league victory following an 0-2 start. In a battle for first place, Westview was in control from the start and went on to beat Poway 63-48 to take sole possession of first place at the halfway point in league play. Here's a decent compilation I put together from meeting up with garbagekid1 in Poway, CA. This is being uploaded so soon after it was filmed for a particular driver named Victor, so that he can show it to his family. A huge thanks goes out to every one of the drivers who work in Poway, particularly the hard-working yard waste drivers. They all enjoy what they do and don't mind residents who set out 20-30+ bins or bags EACH week. These drivers have stood out to me as being the friendliest EDCO employees (and I have met quite a few), and by all means I strongly feel that if anybody deserved a raise at EDCO, it should be them. You'll see these guys smile and wave to residents on a daily basis, as they hurry through their routes. Very, very commendable people who work in the city of Poway, and I'm reminded of that each time I go there. So a THANK YOU goes to EDCO and all of the amazing employees who work in this city. On August 25, 2010 3 injured workers from Toyota of Poway went to the San Diego District Attorney's office to file charges of workers comp criminal fraud by the dealership owners Vincent Castro, Troy Duhon and manager Rick Gallagherand and the insurance carrier CorVel. Five workers have been sickened by the mold but the owners have denied workers comp claims forcing the workers to apply for California State Disability. Tim Hack, the Toyota Poway sales manager was also coerced by the owner to file for family medical leave under Federal Law although this would have been illegal since he was sickened due to workplace incidents. He refused to file and violate the law and was fired by Toyota Poway. This documentary also shows the efforts of the dealership to get $3 million from the City of Poway Redevelopment Agency to build a new building. In order to shut the workers up, one of the owners Vincent Castro filed a restraining order against Tim Hack for threatening him and ordered that he not speak at any more public meeting. Also filing a criminal complaint at the San Diego District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis was Sharon Kramer who has been fighting ACOEM which represents company doctors who say that workers do not get sick from mold. She filed charges that Bruce Kalman has been strategically litigating to limit liability for companies and the insurance industry from workers injuries. Additional footage at blip.tv 26 min.
