This is also one of the first Power Rangers video games that were released at the time when it was popular. This installment is an average platformer beat 'em up game, possessing charm and nostalgia to those who have played and beaten it before. However, it is not a game with too much replay value, other than the passwords you get at the end. However, it does a good job with its resource material and it also does a good job presenting a decent game to players. While it gets tedious, it doesn't outright bore a player and does add some variety throughout the stages. The characters, while being a bit similar, do offer some very small differences between one another. Finally, this game DOES have our heroes get into and use the Megazords at some point, something that couldn't be said for the second Power rangers game and it might possibly explain where the origins of the fighting game mechanics of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers came from.
