Memories is one of the songs featured in Elvis' 1968 Comeback Special TV show. It is a pretty song and was released as single in early 1969. It reached the Top 40 in the US peaking at 35 on the Billboard singles chart, it also made the Country singles chart reaching 56, and number 7 on the Adult Contemporary chart. It did a little better on the rival charts, reaching 24 on the Cashbox singles chart and 21 on the Record World chart. lyrics: Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind Memories, sweetened through the ages just like wine Quiet thoughts come floating down And settle softly to the ground Like golden autumn leaves around my feet I touched them and they burst apart with sweet memories, Sweet memories Of holding hands and red bouquets and twilights trimmed in purple haze and laughing eyes and simple ways and quiet nights and gentle days with you Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind Memories, sweetened through the ages just like wine, Memories, memories,
