A member of the British Royal family, Princess Ann, has paid a courtesy call on President Mills at the Castle, Osu. She is in the country to follow up on a number projects her NGO is executing in Ghana. Princess Ann said she is impressed with the level of development that has taken place in Ghana over the years.

IN SUNSHINE The Princess Royal, HRH Princess Anne enjoyed a day in Oban helping to celebrate the town's 200th anniversary. As part of the bicentenary celebrations, Princess Anne made a series of presentations and cut the town's birthday cake. She was relaxed in her surroundings - laughing at jokes and enjoying a familiar face or two in the crowds that flocked to see her. As she quietly chatted with community councillor Kenny MacIntyre and Provost, Councillor William Petrie, she enjoyed a parade of more than 500 townspeople who moved from Station Square along the Esplanade. Frank McKenna, a teacher at Oban High School, was the parade master and he led a good show in front of the princess.

HRH Princess Anne visited the newly restored White Horse in Osmington, Dorset on the 12 March 2012. The White Horse was created in 1808 in honour of King George III on his faviourite charger, Adonis. The TV Package features interviews with volunteers who helped in the restoration project and experts from English Heritage and the Ordinance Survey who also contributed. With special thanks to Melanie Osborne at the Ordinance Survey.
