James is played by Rob Whitelock, Pete by Euan Wilson and the tragic character of Jo is played by Amy Whitehouse. The hugely atmospheric music was written by Michael Mertens and the video was produced and post-produced by Partizan London. Thankfully, no cast or crew were injured during the making of this hazardous video.

The Parisian Video Collective's New Short Visualizes Factory Floor's Hypnotic Synth Loops An endless staircase, smashing plates and slapped faces coalesce into an exploration of repetition and narrative in French filmmakers AB/CD/CD's On Hold. Inspired by Michael Haneke's 71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance—in which the main character plays ping-pong against a machine that is throwing balls to him in a never ending loop—AB/CD/CD's Arnaud Boutin, Clement Dozier and Camille Dauteuille devised a series of repetitious sequences and scenarios to shoot over a couple of weekends. Set to English experimental electronic act Factory Floor's "Real Love", the resultant scenes play off the track's polyrhythms to generate a hypnotic tension. "When you listen carefully to Factory Floor, you can detect that it's live, it's not only a cold sequencer playing, it's organic," explains Clement. "They are actually playing that track as the actors are re-doing their movements." The band were taken with the way On Hold's collage of unrelated loops played with narrative, explains Factory Floor guitarist and vocalist Nik Void: "It's not far from how our music works, it gives space in the viewer's own mind to imagine and conclude what the context is about." Having made videos for the likes of Lily Allen, Uffie and Josephine de la Baume's Singtank, AB/CD/CD are currently wrapping up films for New York concept-store-turned-brand Opening Ceremony. On a secluded beach far from the tourist trail, the rum shack's locals go about their daily business over a bottle of Heineken until they are discovered by some wide-eyed visitors looking for the "real" Jamaica. In a bid to live up to their stereotypes, they quickly ditch their beer, hide their mod cons behind flags and other national paraphernalia, and let the tourists think they have found an archetypal Jamaican bar with steel drums, rum punch, dominoes and a few chickens chucked in for good measure. Paris-based graphic designer and video director Alex Courtes is a busy man, but he still managed to invite us for a coffee in his apartment and escorted us on his motorcycle to Machine Molle, a motion and graphic design agency. Here, Alex is working on his latest project: a new commercial for Ebay. It all started when Alex met Martin Fougerol at art school, back in the early 1990s. Together they produced album sleeves and music videos for French artists like Cassius and Air. It didn't take long for them to draw international attention, and soon they were directing videos for super bands. For The White Stripes for instance, Alex & Martin helmed a hugely acclaimed promo for the song Seven Nation Army, which was nominated for an MTV Award for Best Rock Video. They went on to deliver the new video for the long awaited new U2 album, Vertigo, which went on to win a Grammy for Best Music Video and was nominated for many other awards worldwide. After numerous more music videos Alex now concentrates mostly on commercials. He is represented by Partizan, the prestigious agency that produces music videos and commercials. As for the future he has plans for a feature film, but as friendly as Alex may be, he didn't want to elaborate on that yet. We'll talk to <b>...</b>

"Cog" is a British television and cinema advertisement launched by Honda in 2003 to promote the seventh-generation Accord line of cars. It follows a chain of colliding parts taken from a disassembled Accord. Wieden+Kennedy developed a GB£6 million marketing campaign around "Cog" and its partner pieces, "Sense" and "Everyday", broadcast later in the year. The piece itself was produced on a budget of £1 million by Partizan Midi-Minuit. Antoine Bardou-Jacquet directed the seven-month production, contracting The Mill to handle post-production. The 120-second final cut of "Cog" was broadcast on British television on 6 April 2003, during a commercial break in ITV's coverage of the 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix.
