American Psycho
Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale) is a Wall Street yuppie, obsessed with success, status and style, with a stunning fiancee (Reese Witherspoon). Well, that's what I'm calling her anyhow:) Wasn't 100% happy with how she turned out but usually I'm not when it's totally improvised. It took about 1hr & 1/2 as I was thinking what to do next the whole time! All I knew is I wanted it doll-like. Anyhu's hope ye like it! PRODUCTS USED!! This is a Music Video I created as my Final project for my Typography III Class. Check out my work at wix.com/jesijean/portfolio The lyrics were inspired by the character Norman Bates in the movie Psycho so I designed this with Saul Bass in mind since he was the graphic designer that created much of Alfred Hitchcocks Movie Posters. I am not and editor nor am I an animator, but I think I got by pretty well. I love this song and surprisingly enough I did not get sick of it while spent about a weeks worth of time creating it. Psycho Trailer (50th Anniversary) HD
The "mother" of all slasher flicks celebrates it's 50th Anniversary this year. So even though it's early yet, I thought I'd create a cool modern style trailer for it. Aside from the black and white, it holds up much better than I thought. I think the movie itself is overrated, IMO not even one of Hitchcock's top movies. But no one can deny the iconic cultural impact the movie has had, who hasn't heard of Norman Bates? The Bates Motel? The Shower Scene? (with it's heart-stopping score). This...like my trailer for "The Birds", follows modern marketing strategies to make it look brand new. I hope everyone enjoys it, and maybe it will become as popular as my Birds trailer.
