My favourite ditch in Scotland, which I have fallen up to my neck in at least once. Guaranteed entertaining, it has inspired riders to visit Scotland just so they can say "Lets have a go at that ditch thats on YouTube- it looks easy!" _ watch the 12yr old on the quad about halfway through ! Usually much muddier either side !, I'm on the last bike through.

Took me awhile to come up with a safe, effective exercise people can do at home for quads with simple equipment. Most home workouts for quads work only work for beginners but this exercise will work even for pro BBers with elephant legs. There are very few quad exercises I feel I can safely lift large amounts of weight and this is one of them. I love the burn and even more I love being so incredibly sore the next days that walking is difficult and going down stairs impossible Everybody wants a big chest and arms, you dont have to nag people to do bench press or bicep curls. Many people though neglect legs thinkng that they can just wear long pants their whole life long but thats a BBIIIIIIIIIG mistake because some day its gonna be SO hot that they have to wear short pants. So, how do you know if you have the dreaded "peg-leg disease"? Take this simple test, measure the circumference of your chest and measure the circumference of your legs (at the largest point), take the ratio (chest/legs). *If your chest/leg ratio is less than 1.7 - Congratulations, you have thighs of death! * If it is between 1.7 and 1.85 then you have great legs, nicely proportioned to your torso. * If its between 1.85 and 2.0 your legs are lagging a bit but its not embarrassing :) * If its greater than 2.0 then you have severe chicken-leg syndrome. Sports Massage Demo 2: Quads, Thighs & Hamstrings Leg Muscle Athletic Tune-Up Austin In this video, sports massage therapist, Ron Vaughn, explains more about muscles in the legs and why loosening those muscles (specifically the quads, hamstrings, glutes and related muscles) is important to improve performance and to ensure safe exercise with limited injury. www.freeverticaljumptraining.com Increase vertical jump by taking a comprehensive approach. I'd love to hear your feedback on quad vs glute jumping. I think it's fair to say that quads, hams, glutes are the three prime movers. No individual athlete is going to use the same percentage of that. You'll see athletes using more quads, you'll see athletes using more glutes, and you'll see athletes who use a balanced percentage of both. So for those of you who are only training, really you see athletes and trainers out there who say that the vertical jump is completely derived from the glutes. If you look at the glutes, their primary function is extending the hip. So for example, you're sprinting; your gluts here are taking your leg from this point to this point. So really that's driving you horizontally, it's driving you forward. That's what that movement does. Now your quads, what they do is they are; see right now we are minimizing our hip extension, we are minimizing our glute activation. So notice that when we extend, when we contract our quads and extend our knees, we are closing the gap a little more vertically but when you use your glutes and quads together in this way and your body is closed, more like a spring, when you contract your quads and extend at your knees instead of at the hips, your body is more like a spring bouncing upwards. So if you have imbalances meaning you're driving a lot of power through your glutes but you're not able to properly support or even <b>...</b>
CBR600 Quad Bike Build

This is a slideshow and video of my 4wheeler build. 1987 CBR600 + 1989 LT500R = cbrzilla. I used the motor and most of the chassis from the bike combined with the front suspension, front suspension subframe, rear swingarm and axle, rear shock and linkage and linkage mount point from the LT. The build so far has taken about 3 weeks. It is now in the debug and testing phase. Still planning on building a new exhaust and belly pan for it.

Quad Exercise - "Smith Sissy Hack Squats"

Here's a quad exercise I "invented" although I doubt I'm the first to every do it. A blend of a Barbell Hack Squat (except on a Smith machine) and a sissy squat where you allow your heels to come up - a double whammy for quad activation. General thoughts: -A great exercise for pre-fatiguing the quads, esp. if knee extensions are painful (eg, patellofemoral syndrome). -Great for a high reps set like a DoggCrapp style widowmaker. -A good exercise for folks who tend to get a lot of ham and glute activation on compound "quad" exercise like squats. Form notes: -Obviously don't do them if they cause knee pain, but this may be remedied by adjusting stance, etc. -Start with a narrow stance with knees out front or to the side (ala an Olympic style squat) - whichever is more comfortable. -Position feet slightly under you (not out in front), so that you can keep an upright posture. (Experiment to find what's right for you.) -Keep your body upright. -Allow your heels to come up like a sissy squat, but maintain a solid base. -Start with light weight and work up.
