A new garden railroad built using HDPE (high density polyethylene) lumber as a roadbed. The track is AML (Accucraft) brass flex track bent using the EasyBend DuoTrak by Train-li-USA, and joined using Hillman clamps. There is only one power connection for the 110 feet of track and both voltage and DCS signal is great! With DSC controlling the speed on one engine, a second engine can be run with only occasional speed adjustments necessary to keep them apart.

Location: Warren, AR I was out around 11 AM this morning and I saw that AKMD had 16 loaded woodchip cars sitting on the main in town. This almost never occurs because they usually keep them on the outside of town. I happened to have my camera and tripod with me so I stuck around. I could hear them on the other side of town at Potlatch doing its usual switching. I was only expecting them to be about 1 hour. Turns out, it took them about 5 hours. I'm not sure what the hold up was, but I grew impatient. After going home for a while, I heard them report on the scanner that they were ready to pull out. So I went back up to the tracks with my friend Hunter along with me to catch them pass through town. It has been a long time since they have pulled a train this size through town. I decided to try out a new location this time. About 5-6 hours later, they finally come by and start their trip to McGehee, AR.

I finally added one of my most sought after diecasts! Solido is the only manufacturer of the Desmosedici RR in 1/18 scale and they did a very nice job on it. Slightly more detailed than a Maisto but because I had to ship it from France it cost me around $20. Not bad for such a rare bike. The video was created in Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11. The Texas Midland RR is based on a short line railroad that ran from Ennis through its headquarters in Terrell to Paris. It was owned by EHR Green, the son of Hattie Green "The Witch of Wall Street". The railroad existed from about 1896 until it was purchased by the T&NO in the 1920"s. David 's Model the TMRR as if it existed until the 1960's. The layout is 10' x 16' with about 100 feet of mainline: the traisk mostly code 83 and has a couple of super elevated curves. Minimum radius is 24". Scenery and structures are 75% complete. There are 4 Towns, one yard, engine facility, staging tracks with a video camera and fiddle tracks. The backdrop is complete along with the fascia on the benchwork. Switches for the powered turnouts are mounted on the fascia at the turnout location for walkaround control. There are 15 engines, steam and first generation diesel. 60 frieght cars and 4 passenger car consists. Power is Digitrax DCC. Enjoy David very nice and well thought out layout.
