
A video featuring another one of my custom Mobile Suit In Action (MSIA) figures. Parts used; GM V1, Gundam V1, Deathsythe, Altron. Got a story for this one! Mobile Suit Profile: RXM-79 Windam (limited intermediate model mobile suit) After the introduction of the formidable MS-14 Gelgoog, the Federation Forces wanted a mass-production model closer to the performance of the Gundam. While the GM was a simplified version of the Gundam; it was more of a multi-role unit, not a close combat mobile suit.Engineers took a standard RGM-79 GM and improved the armor, electronics, and mobility. The main difference between the GM and the Windam is that the Windam features magnetic coating on all of its joints, much like the system used on the G-3. With the magnetic coat treatment and the enhanced thruster output, the Windam is twice as mobile as a GM and just as if not more mobile than a standard RX-78 Gundam. The suit also features upgraded electronics and sensors. Due to its design after the first RX and RGM series mobile suits, the Windam has superior sensors for finding the enemy. The mobile suit can be equipped with all standard Federation armament including beam rifles, plus the Federation developed a new melee combat weapon specifically for the Windam. The Heat Shield is a modified GM(G) shield incorporating a super heated piercing tip made of lunar titanium alloy. The weapon is battery powered much like a Zeon Zaku II's Heat Hawk.
