In late 2009 we released a feature-length grassroots documentary entitled, "For Liberty How the Ron Paul R3volution Watered the Withered Tree of Liberty". The Addendum carries the viewer past the end of the 2008 campaign and through some of the successes Ron Paul & the Liberty Movement have had throughout 2008-2011. With an updated subtitle, we completely re-designed the DVD's packaging and artwork into an informative literature piece in itself, and feel we've crafted the perfect Ron Paul 2012 presidential campaign handout piece. The Lion King Trailer Recut (Horror)
Simba and Kovu go psycho in this recut trailer of "The Lion King" to make it look like an upcoming horror movie. I used clips from both "The Lion King" movies (1 and 2), not just the first. Watched some trailers, tv spots, different stuff to see a few techniques used. Learned new stuff, liked how the beginning and end turned out (the middle block not so much). Real shame I couldn't make it longer. At 1:35 feels pretty damned short. Yeah, I cheated and used a couple of voice bits from other things, but otherwise it's all Lion King. And yeah, I'm overusing Akira Yamaoka but there's nothing better for creepy or horror music. Warning, very loud. Lots of "BANG!"s (which I don't like either but I have a limited amount of SFX). AMELIE POULAIN - ULTIMATE RECUT TRAILER BY SACHAMAX
This is one of 8 recut trailers made for the 26th Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (april 2008), by Sacha Feiner and Maxime Pasque. These trailers were played as a preliminary program, at the BIFFF before each screening. The point was, each time, to use ONLY IMAGES FROM THE MOVIE. No effects added, no compositing and so on. Just editing. Adding music and voices is tolerated, but no dubbing. In three cases, more than one film was mixed, but it was either to serve the pitch (Clockwork Orange & Beethoven, The Birds & Pterodactyles), or just because it was a trilogy (Ringu). This work was the greatest editing exercise one could ever think of. The Exorcist, especially, was very difficult to make appear... just something else than the Exorcist. Maybe it is not the funniest, but it was the biggest challenge. It was also the opportunity to point a few annoying trends in film making today, like adding crappy new CGI special efffects to classic movies (see the BIRDS trailer), or making opportunist crappy sequels (see EYES WIDE SHUT 2... sorry Steven, we love you after all). The best one in our eyes is definitely Titanic... or should I say, Carpathia. Don't hesitate to give your opinion... Superman II Metropolis Battle Re-Cut
This is from my hybrid cut of Superman II (1980) (which is also known as the Lester Cut because of the switch of directors during the film's production) and Superman II: Donner Cut (2006). I know there are a million hybrid cuts like this out there, but I just decided to take a stab at it myself. There aren't too many significant changes, I just took the Donner Cut version of the battle and added parts of the battle from the Lester Cut that I liked and thought would add a slightly different perspective to it. High Quality: www.youtube.com "I'll just die if I don't get this recipe!" This is my second recut trailer, making the satirical horror film "The Stepford Wives" (Dir. Bryan Forbes) look like an upbeat chick-flick comedy! I've been working on this new recut trailer for the last few days, and now it's finally finished! I actually had the idea for this ages ago in October of last year, but I've only just found the time to invest in it. I'm glad that I've put it off until now, though - I've done some fun things with the titles that I wouldn't have thought of last year. The original film is quite a subtle one, so there weren't many dramatic physical scenes that I could turn into slapstick comedy. Nonetheless, I hope it's turned out okay!
