
This last week has been a whirlwind. As I, like many other Scarlet Owners, waited years for this day to finally come. Last Thursday, Scarlet-X #567 arrived on my doorstep in Reno, NV. All of my accessories minus the side handle had already been ordered and shipped previously so it was only the brain that came. Upon pulling it out my permanent smile continued as the build quality was exceptional just as I had witnessed with the Epic as well as the Scarlet at the Nov. 3d event, but it doesn't quite hit you until you hold your very own copy of the camera. It's also amazing how small the camera is when you hold it in the palm of your hand. Although juggling some editing projects that have kept me busy this last week, we did manage to get in a number of test shoot days around the area. I have put together a simple little video showing off the footage. A disclaimer though: This was my first week with the camera so we were trying out many different settings as well as still learning proper usage of the camera, My darker ND filter also hadn't arrived yet so most of my outdoor clips were not shot at an optimal quality F-Stop. Also Compressed Youtube really doesn't do the footage justice. Also the color correction added minus for the graveyard shots was just a quick pass and play with the source settings within Premiere. Watching it in full quality on my 40" editing monitor is truly a sight to behold though, there is just an insane amount of detail and native dynamic range in the <b>...</b>
