In this video I rush through playing the Earth levels, making fairly extensive use of the TAB key to speed up time (the video is shot in realtime). Notice how the powerups remain for as long as time is speeded up, and are collected automatically at the end of the level. As you can see I'm being fairly reckless, placing my refineries before I bother placing any defences down. In the end my blasé approach gets the better of me and the boss and his friends on level 10 defeat me. In fact the game has decided by then that I know what I'm doing, so the replay of level 10 sees me fighting for my life again, but I make it through by the skin of my teeth. I should probably not have squandered my Bezerk and Smartbomb powerups on the easy earlier levels. So notice how I place tons of turrets down along the roadside, and get them firing as fast as possible with 4 cooling towers. And I don't mind losing the odd turret here or there. That's how it's meant to be played :)

i kicked some butt, then got my butt kicked. for level 38 i forgot to make sure to research lasers and had to improvise a defense. didn't do too bad, but definitely an example of some sloppy game play.

Early development video of Puppygames' forthcoming ultra-awesome real-time strategy / tower defence game, Revenge of the Titans! Almost no graphics finished to speak of but the core gameplay is there. Place gun turrets near the path of the invading Titans, and upgrade the turrets by placing ancillary buildings nearby to improve their abilities, such as batteries for more ammunition, scanners for greater range, and cooling towers for faster fire rate. At the same time you have to manage collecting funds from your factories, and quickly zap powerups that beam in now and again! As the game progresses, more and more technology is researched and available to you. Eventually you leave Earth (the tutorial levels, shown here in the video) and progress to the Moon, and then on to Mars, Saturn, and finally you stage an invasion of Titan itself when you've got all the magnificent array of technological destruction available to you (a total of 24 types of building in fact). Each world has its own unique look and feel, and of course, at the end of each one, there's a big, bad boss alien. Or two.

This is the new Christmas mode in Revenge of the Titans: Yeti Attack! This is my first try on this mode and also the first time I've played the game since i finished the campaign months ago. I probably shouldn't have killed so much of my own stuff with my rocket launcher xD It was a blast until the epic finale and I also received a bunch of achievements xD It costs currently less than 5€ on Steam, so make sure you buy this awesome game if you haven't already! Already you start to see the usefulness of the scanners I mentioned. Makes the game easier but also more fun, and I'll take fun over difficultly. Could be just me though. Also saves you a lot of minerals, as the titans get blowed up before they are even close to the turrets. They do manage to take out the refineries more often as you will see in future videos, but they are pretty cheap so it don't matter too awful much. Also makes it easier to reload and collect minerals, you're not jumping all over the screen looking for the turret that needs reloading, they are all pretty much in one spot. Lastly, just more fun to watch :P

Very close run for the 5 X-Mas achievements on a great game. Made me litteraly sweaty :) Restart a few times, to get a good map. This one is very nice for my setup, but it´s also working on more open ones. Retry the same Map a few times, until you got the timing to build 4-5 refs and a blaster-tower to kill the first ones on you def-spot. I got lucky with the smart bomb so i could start with an assault tower. The rest is in the video!

Revenge of the Titans is a tower defence game with a pseudo-pixelly graphical style. It's quite complex in the number of ways to mount a defence against the incoming horde of various types of aliens and a research tree system for gaining new technologies. This is the first commercial tower defence game I've played. I enjoyed it and will be playing it some more "off camera". It just about gets into the pseudo retro category because of it's retro-ish pixel imitation graphics, but that's good enough for me. 1st level of saturn. Sorry no sound on the first two levels. The way I set up the basic structure of my defense doesn't really change from the beginning to end of this game. It does grow and become more elaborate. I've played through the Saturn levels to show one effective way at playing RotT. My goal was to dominate and get all the medals awarded at the end of the level. Which I've done except for level 37 (a bug kept me from completing the level.) This version is the last before automatic automation gets put in. I was a big fan of manual reloading and refinery collection, but it proved to be too much clicking for most people.

So you might be thinking the turrets take all the fun out of the game. Well you'd be wrong. Try playing without for awhile. Heck I actually beat the game without, not easy. Very few minerals left at the end of missions, and it can just get way to hectic. It gets plenty hectic in some of the latter stages as it is. Plus, I already mentioned it previous videos, it's just way more fun to watch the turrets take out the titans from a distance. Just awesome in my opinion. So we're at stages 8-9 eh? Next up, the boss.

Ah yes, the first boss, again. So previously this stage didn't take it's own video. The reason it's longer is pretty obvious if you watch. With all the turrets in one location with the scanners you have to give the boss some time to get within range. So for the first time, I get to use the fast forward button, yay! Good stuff.
