A short seven minute film, featuring the highlights of Richard Burns' competition career as well as the intimate details of his courageous fight against an aggressive form of brain cancer in the twilight of his life. The film is intended to give context to the Paint It Orange campaign as motorsport remembers ten years since Richard's 2001 World title and today's ongoing work of the Richard Burns Foundation as it endeavours to improve the circumstances of others facing neurological injury and illness. Hey, this is just a little demo of the Rally School track with the RSRBR 2011 mod, driving the original Subaru Impreza '03 from the game and three addon cars, the Toyota Corolla WRC, the Subaru Impreza WRC '09, and the legendary group B Peugeot 205 T16. Obviously not the best times ever, this is just to show how amazing the game looks with this mod and the astonishing car packs. The T16 was very hard to handle, the modders have made a really impressive job on the cars, from the model to the driving. I recommend to every owner of this game to take a look at rallyesim.fr and check all the work that these guys have made since 2007. forum.rallyesim.fr For those who might be wondering, the engine sounds are from only two cars, the Corolla in the first half, and the Impreza in the second part. 1 year ago something happened, the night to the 25th of November Richard Burns past away having fallen in coma few days earlier.The 2001 WRC champ was haunted by brain cancer but he stayed positive in his fight, he even stated to do a comeback but it would never come. He came 2nd in the championship both 1999 and 2000 - then finally clinched it in 2001 driving for Subaru. He only turned 34. This is my way to pay tribute to a class rally driver; Richard Burns.

It was built in 3 days using Bobs Track Builder v0.7 as a test of the new RBR plugin. It contains over 250000 objects. Richard Burns Rally Simulator - First Look
Rally-Nerding as hard as we know how.... I setup a couple of Playseats with my Rally stuff. Thought I'd put on the full getup for the video. The "simulator" is not setup 100% yet but I plan to lower the display and bring it closer. Though you can't hear it, we're using the Peltor Communication system that's built into the helmets to deliver pace notes. My Co-Driver Evan is delivering the Pace Notes that we made for the course in Austrailia called Mineshaft. Yeah the graphics aren't the best but if you're after the best available physics in a rally simulator, Richard Burns Rally is by far the top of the list so far. I'm using a Logitech G25 Steering Wheel, Pedals, and 6-Speed shifter. An awesome setup and I can set my e-brake to the shift lever while in sequential mode. (Works great!) Sadly it's been sitting for a while which is why I sucked at driving so bad. I'll post up another when we're back in our groove.

Richard Burns Rally - RSRBR 2009 Mod (PC)
Finally I made my Speedster 2 PS/PStwo wheel work properly with computer. And that is result of it. I know time is not so-so, even not quite good, but for me is ok. Now few words about game. Richard Burns Rally was (and is) one truly realistic rally game ever made. Colin's, Rally Championsip's and other beside RBR are just arcade games. Really shame that SCI/Warthog don't made next similar title. In that case mod community do job what developers don't want to. On the net are thousands of mods, from single cars to sets of tracks. Enjoy and expect more of RBR videos in the future.
