CGR Comics - ROBOTECH #0 comic book review

Robotech issue 0 review. Classic Game Room reviews ROBOTECH #0 from Wildstorm comics released in 2002. Robotech issue 0 is a prequel to the prequel series of Robotech which contains a very short story about Rick Hunter fighting in the war of 2015 who spots Roy Fokker's old Veritech fighter and remembers a story from the past... which is where this 6 (actually 7) part mini-series takes place. This Robotech series from Wildstorm Comics is about Roy Fokker, Claudia and the days leading up to the war against the Zentradi that many of us know as Robotech: The Macross Saga. Cool art, great jets and coloring make this comics series a winner for fans of Robotech. Issue 0 also contains Robotech fan art from other renowned comic book artists.

Robotech Crystal Dreams N64 E3 1996 Demo [unreleased!]

www.unseen64.net http Robotech: Crystal Dreams was a simulation-like take on the beloved series, complete with a complex storyline involving characters such as Rick Hunter and Max Sterling. The game, which took place almost entirely inside a cockpit view, featured huge, stretching environments by which players could literally fly from one end of space to the other, and according to Gametek the procedure could take up to six months in real-time. In addition, more than 30 different controllable functions were at the player's disposal, models could transform, all sorts of different branching missions were available, as well as a four-player battle mode and more than 40 minutes of in-game speech. Robotech was originally thought to be a launch title, but it never happened. One year passed and in 1997 Gametek, obviously suffering from serious money troubles, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in order to "re-work and settle internal debts." Financial setbacks would plague Gametek throughout its life, and would eventually capsize the company and its anticipated game. ign64.ign.com

Classic Game Room - MACROSS PLUS review for Playstation

Macross Plus game review. Classic Game Room reviews MACROSS PLUS The Game Edition for Playstation released in 2000 based on the 1994 anime, Macross Plus. Don't confuse this version with the awesome 1996 Banpresto SHMUP arcade shooter though, this Macross Plus videogame is a good looking game that crashes, burns and explodes with terrible controls. Macross Plus video review features gameplay from Macross Plus played on Japanese PS2, this is an import game (imported to the West) from Japan with Japanese dialog and relatively simple menus that can be navigated easily. Macross Plus videogame suffers from awkward controls that ruin what could have been a fun and enjoyable game for fans of the Macross Plus anime. Macross Plus video review features game play from Macross Plus anime based space ship and robot shooter fighting videogame.

Robotech Battlecry: Save Hiro

You youngin's don't remember the days of Robotech. Ahhh... 1985.... a chill in the air, America actually HAD an economy, the Bears were dominating and the word "mecha" became a household word. Don't hate the player.... don't hate the game. Robotech Battlecry is often decreed by underlings as an incomplete game but to us older folks this game is all that and a bag of chips.

Classic Game Room reviews GUNDAM for Sega Dreamcast

Classic Game Room season 1 - 7/11/2000 Game Room reviews Gundam Side Story 0079 for the Dreamcast, Rise From the Ashes! Aww yeah! Game Room is all about driving 6 story mechs through crowded cities and opening fire on everything that moves. This is a fun game with somewhat awkward controls but beautiful backgrounds and battlefields. We liked it but still wish we could have stepped on fast food joints, robbed liquor stores and shot up playgrounds and stuff. What's the point of having a 6 story mech if you can't abuse it? Really? Classic Game Room HD - PROJECT SYLPHEED for Xbox 360 review

Classic Game Room HD is a new member of the Classic Game Room family. A more relaxed, subdued show about classic (and new) video games from the past 30 years. Not to be confused with the classic Silpheed on Sega CD, this is a review of Project Sylpheed: Arc of Deception. Do you like flying space ships and blowing things up? Well, so do I! It's much better than the Demo on Xbox Live. This game which originated in Japan is a space shooting game like Omega Boost mixed with Robotech. It has a great anime and science fiction style that drops you into the middle of interstellar violent mayhem! Only on the Xbox 360 game system, which is like an Atari but without the fine wood trim. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD.

Classic Game Room HD - ANDROID ASSAULT for Sega CD review

Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out the 1990's hair band guitar metal and gigantic transforming robots to review Android Assault: The Revenge of Bari Arm for the Sega CD. The Sega CD was a short lived, unique, console video game system that worked with the Sega Genesis (Megadrive Mega Drive) 16 bit wonder machine. You can see the Classic Game Room review of the Sega Genesis with S-video here on YouTube. Android Assault is a SHMUP horizontally scrolling shooter where you pilot a Robotech, Transformer, Go Bot-like mecha, mechwarrior fighter thingy against wave after wave of alien bad guys. It's like Guitar Hero with guns... or like Thunder Force III or Gradius mixed with Headbanger's Ball... for all the headbangers out there who remember!!! Late on Saturday night, no date, Sega Genesis and Whitesnake on your MTV... ahh the memories. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. CGRundertow VOLTRON for Xbox 360 Video Game Review

Voltron Review.Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Voltorn, a land-and-space shooter with intermittent giant robots developed by Behaviour Interactive and published in 2011 by THQ for the XBox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The Defenders of the Universe are back, with none of that truck nonsense. This is all lions, all the time, except when it's a giant robot MADE of lions. This is Voltron, a little bit of anime prehistory brought back to us in the form of a really awesome, frantic and intense, five-player action shooter. Would that more childhood memories be so lovingly rendered in video game form. (And yes, I know that the Samurai Pizza Cats already have a Famicom game.) This CGRundertow video game review features video gameplay footage of Voltron for the XBox 360 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ. Classic Game Room HD - BATTLETECH for Sega Genesis review

Classic Game Room HD reviews BATTLETECH for the Sega Genesis from 1994. Control a giant mech and crush enemies, shoot them with laser beams and destroy buildings. Sounds like a winner! The game is pretty good but would definitely benefit from dual thumbsticks, dual d-pads or dual joysticks because while you can walk in one direction and shoot in another the controls are awkward. One d-pad is one d-pad too little. The game is a tactical action game where players complete objectives in five different environments from a ¾ view top-down perspective. This CGR review shows gameplay from Battletech on Sega Genesis with video showing game play from Battletech in action. On the Sega Mega Drive (aka the Genesis) Battletech is a good looking game where the mech is well animated and cool looking. Reminds me of the Jenner / Locust from Mechwarrior, which is in the same family as this game, the Battletech universe! While this game is not related to Robotech some of the enemy mechs look surprisingly similar to Veritech Fighters or Jetfire from Transformers. Machine gunning enemies and laying waste to the enemy forces is always entertaining and the game has a password system so that you can save your game after a successful mission and return to it later. Of particular note is the uber-sexy computer voice in the game that reminds you of when you are about to overheat and explode. Battletech suffers from some clumsy controls but is still playable if you give the game some time. Your mech ...

Classic Game Room HD - THEXDER for PC review

Classic Game Room HD reviews THEXDER for PC from 1987. Originally from GameArts in Japan, Thexder was released to the US computer market by Sierra On-Line in 1987. Part side scrolling platformer, part SHMUP, Thexder is all awesome. It could be one of the greatest games you've never played because Thexder just came and went and doesn't continue to this day (although there was 1 sequel in the mid 90's.) Pilot a transformable robot through tunnels and caverns and blast the crap out of enemy things that fly, swarm and fall on you. Thexder is like Jetfire from the Transformers, a Veritech Fighter from Robotech and Leader-1 from the Go Bots all rolled into one (I just had to drop a GoBots reference in there, he's basically a Veritech Fighter). Thexder has an auto aiming laser in robot mode and front shooting laser in jet mode. The game is unique because it relies on a combination of action gameplay and serious level learning strategy to complete. Thexder has 15 levels which increase in difficulty rapidly. This CGRHD review of Thexder has gameplay from Thexder and shows maps and footage from the old school retro 80's Sierra Game Arts Japanese video game. Thexder... I hardly know her!? Will there be a Thexder remake for PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii soon?

Classic Game Room reviews FRONT MISSION 3 for Playstation

Classic Game Room season 1 - June 5, 2000. Break, crush and mutilate multi-billion dollar robots in this awesome turn based strategy game called FRONT MISSION III, or FM3 for short. This came out on the PS1 oh so long ago, and was followed by a sequel on the PS2 called Front Mission 4 believe it or not. I think a Front Mission 5 came out in Japan but I'm not sure since I don't live there. This is like Mechwarrior, Battletech and Robotech all mixed together with Final Fantasy Tactics. You play as a bunch of good looking kids driving mecha around, crushing bad guys and opposing government forces with multi-colored hair and funny names. This turn based strategy RPG style game lets you hit them with axes and hammers, shoot them with guns and missiles or just crush them with your mighty robot intellect. FM3 is a must have if you enjoy the FF Tactics games on Nintendo DS or PS1. It's pretty much the same except without all the stupid, cutesy crap they put in those games.Classic Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation... too bad they didn't get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of HERZOG ZWEI, the realtime strategy game for the Sega Genesis. Similar in style to Command and Conquer yet different in every way from Command and Conquer, Herzog Zwei is a challenging game that allows you to command an army of tanks, missile launchers, bikes, armored cars and gun turrets and wage war against a mysterious blue alien race of tanks and transforming robots. Miike Snow - Silvia (Roboberget Remix)

I Just wanted to share this great remix with you. you can listen it here or download it also for free at: rcrdlbl.com "An extended track length (eight minutes), a slightly boosted tempo, and an assortment of futurist synths—some washy and cinematic, others arpeggiated and video game-like—its a new, but not unfamiliar, incarnation of Silvia, crafted by those who know it best. Get it below and as part of the Miike Snow Deluxe Album out on April 13th, via Downtown Music. " ---- Get More Free Music at RCRD LBL.com ----- Have fun.

CGRundertow TATSUNOKO VS. CAPCOM for Nintendo Wii Video Game Review

Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom Review.Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, a 2D fighting game developed by Eighting and published in 2008 by Capcom for the Nintendo Wii. Let's face it. The Wii's got about as much business with high-end tournament fighting games as your average monkey has with a physics textbook. Doesn't mean it can't at least try. And if it's going to try, we might as well let it have a stable of classic anime superheroes. Because, why not? Let Casshern and Gatchaman go toe-to-toe with Ryu and Chun Li. Doronjo and Roll make a fantastic team. Yatterman and Mega Man both have things for robotic dogs... wait. That's MegaMan Volnutt, not regular Mega Man. My bad. I retract the robot dog comment. This CGRundertow video game review features video gameplay footage of Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom for the Nintendo Wii and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ. Classic Game Room HD - GI JOE: COBRA STRIKE for Atari 2600

"Just because the graphics are better doesn't mean the game is better" Classic Game Room HD reviews GI Joe Cobra Strike, the video game, for the Atari 2600. YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JOE! Fighting for freedom over land and air, GI Joe is there! GI JOE!!!!!!!! A real American Hero! Step to the real and fight Cobra with this video game... but does it keep it real? This rare Atari 2600 game uses the paddle controllers as you fight Cobra Commander, Serpentor, Destro, Zartan and the Baroness... sort of. In this review we talk about GI Joe and some memorable characters that don't appear in the game like Rock N' Roll, Roadblock, Scarlet and Shipwreck. Is GI Joe better than other 80's cartoons classics like Transformers, Thundercats, Voltron, Robotech, Silverhawks, Tranzor Z, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, The Galaxy Rangers or He-Man? Check out the entire season of Classic Game Room HD where the classic arcade games of the past face off vs. the newest shooters and games for the PS3 and Xbox 360! Toon! Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD.

Robotech - The Macross Saga (GBA)

First time playing. This mediocre shmup is based off of the TV show of the same name. I'm not saying the show was bad, it's just that this isn't one of the better Macross games out there

VF-1J vs Fighters and Regults Note: The songs have nothing to do with Macross. Also, I just wanted to add that the reason I call it Macross Zero style is because my gameplay style was inspired by Roy Focker's flying in said movie.
