The first Leg of the 1976 "Louder Than Concorde(but not quite as pretty)" Tour took Elton and his band through the UK and this was the second night at Earl's Court in London. May 12th 1976. The back up singer in the bright striped shirt is Cindy Bullens, a Boston girl who crashed an MCA party in 1975 and was asked if she'd like to go on the road for the West Of The Rockies Tour and the rest is history. Cindy would have her first hit in 1979 with a song called "Survivor". For Elton this was his peak for sure! Enjoy!!!

KING OF THE ROCKET MEN 1949 SERIAL TRAILER
Re-release theatrical trailer for the 1949 Republic serial, KING OF THE ROCKETMEN, starring Tris Coffin, Mae Clarke and House Peters Jr. The eye-defying flying sequences were accomplished by Republc's ace special effects team of Howard and Theodore Lydecker, who used aa life-sized dummy against natural backgrounds with the camera undercranking at the appropriate speed. Combined with stuntman David Sharpe's spectacular leaps and effective sound effects, the scene of Rocketman in flight still awe today. So popular was the serial, that two additional serials -- RADAR MEN FROM THE MOON (1952) and ZOMBIES OF THE STARTOSPHERE (1952) were built around the Lydecker footage as was the the COMMANDO CODY (1953) series of featurettes, which later sold to television. CBS News RAW: Swiss adventurer and former pilot Yves Rossy jumped from a hot-air balloon and completed two aerial loops using just his custom-made jet-propelled wingsuit. It was the latest stunt by Rossy who hopes to one day fly through the Grand Canyon.
MINI Rocketman concept - exterior design
MINI has unveiled the Rocketman concept which draws inspiration from the original 1959 Mini. It measures a compact 3419mm long, 1907mm wide and 1398mm tall. The overall design is a little busy, but the car has an attractive Bermuda grey body with exposed carbon fiber sections that hint at the concept's carbon fiber space frame construction. Furthermore, the Rocketman features a wraparound greenhouse, a glass roof (with optical illumination), LED headlights, projector-style taillights, and 18-inch lightweight wheels. No word on what powers the concept, but MINI hinted the Rocketman is capable of having an average fuel consumption of 3 L/100km (94 mpg imp / 78 mpg US).
