In spite of a bleeding mouth, a mare is bucked. According to the rules of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), injured animals are not supposed to be used. Horses who excessively chute fight are supposed to be released. This injured, chute fighting horse was used in violation of PRCA rules, while three judges watch, because those rules are worthless. Rock bands Def Leppard and Bon Jovi played at the infamous Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo in 2007 in spite of receiving loads of information about the abuse involved. The Denver Broncos sent their mascot and cheerleaders, while the US Air Force Thunderbirds did flyovers, and on one day a complete air show at taxpayer expense. Dodge Trucks, Coca-Cola and AT&T, Southwest Airlines, Sam's Club / WalMart are among companies that give rodeo animal abusers advertising money. This video, in Spanish, shows the living conditions of the El Rodeo II prison outside of Caracas, Venezuela. Points to notice include: 7 months of accumulated trash outside the back walls, no water, no bathroom, no kitchens and no electricity. There are three floors to the prison, two of which are occupied by gangs and the topmost floor is occupied by the Christians. In filming the video, the local pastor spoke with the gatekeepers of each floor who would yell out "the Christians are coming!" so the floor guards (prisoners with guns belonging to the gang of that floor - not official prison guards) wouldn't shoot us.
One time Stoop told me it was his lifelong dream to ride in a rodeo, and I thought he meant ride a horse or a bull or something like that. The 2011 Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo killed a horse during its second regular performance. You can see the video at www.youtube.com A day later another horse was injured. You can see the video at www.youtube.com Rodeo announcers made fun of the suffering animal as it hobbled out of the arena, and didn't even bother to acknowledge the injury. On Friday, July 29, "The King of the Lizards" was injured. Again rodeo announcers made fun of the horse, and this time they claimed he was OK. The woman with the VET vest running after the horse was a good indication that the announcers were lying. As usual, the rodeo is refusing to acknowledge the condition of the horse, much less give an update as to his condition. In addition to injuring and killing horses, the 2011 Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo has injured well over a dozen calves and steers.

July 25, 2011, one day after killing another horse, this horse is injured. The announcer doesn't even mention it. When the horse goes down, they make fun of her. They don't want to sled another horse out, so they force him to run, even though he is clearly trying to stop. Rodeo promoters are remaining mum about this horse, not even admitting there was an injury. Additional injuries include five calves and four steers, all but one of which were hauled out, and the rodeo is only half over! The shame of Cheyenne is the shame of the US.
