
The Roscommon Hospital Action Committee organised a protest a outside the Dail on Wednesday evening, July 06 as a motion that refers to Roscommon Hospital is being debated and voted on in the Chamber. Hundreds travelled from all over Roscommon to take part, old and young alike workers, farmers, retired pensioners, kids different abilities except that Labour and Fine Gael didn't have the will to save Roscommon A&E nor the other 8 A&Es which were also for the chop. It was a lively and dynamic protest which had a live feed to the Dáil debate inside while the people whom the TDs represent stood outside chanting, chatting and listening to the exhaustive repetiore of the Castlerea Brass Band. People were angry at the failure of the Dail to listen to the people and vowed to continue the protests. © Paula Geraghty All Rights Reserved
