Light engines, brakevan rides, thrash and clag, and just pure napier engines! The Deltic 50th anniversary at Shildon offered an oppurtunity for me to film an event that probably wont' happen again, all preserved deltic were on offer, and i got some good videos and photo's. The only downer was the amount of light rain we got, which ruined some shots some im sorry about that... PS Should really stop editing in windows live movie maker shouldn't i? Stupid black border! the magnificent seven meet again, the remaining 7 of the worlds best ever locos meet at shildon for a 50th annivesary bash, horrible day but well worth getting soaking for , we also have a look in the cab of DELTIC herself, and finish with a small layout running at shildon, i also met martin walker ( very nice chappie ) and bought a class 20 loco, and a 22 mug all for a very good cause that us deltic nuts know all about, so well worth the spend, enjoy the upload and thanks for looking

A large gathering of 'named' steam locomotives,inside and outside,on show for the LMS Steam Weekend at the National Railway Museum,York. Olton Hall,45305 and 37706 were in use on the mainline hauling the shuttle services from the MRM at York to the NRM at Shildon where there was a 7th Annual Steam Gala taking place. Thanks to everyone at the NRM,York for their work in organising and gathering such a great collection of locomotives for the event.

The seven remaining EE Type 5 (Class 55) Deltic diesel locomotives were brought together on the 8th and 9th October at the Shildon Locomotion Railway Museum in County Durham to celebrate the 50th anniversary of them being built 55002, 55019, D9016, DELTIC Prototype, D9009, 55022 and D9015 are the survivors on display.
