Recorded by As-Sahab, Al-Qaeda's media wing. Titled; Al-Azhar, The Lions Den. This is; The Fifth As-Sahab Interview With Dr Ayman Al-Zawahiri (English Subtitles). This was released in the year 2008 (1429 AH), prior to the presidency of Barrack Obama, and prior to the ongoing revolutions sweeping through the Middle East. It gives a rare insight into the ideology of Al-Qaeda and other affiliated Islamic groups. In this interview Dr Ayman Al-Zawahiri also presents the idea of protests and going on strike as a means of achieving certain political goals, this idea later manifested itself 3 years later in what we have come to know now as the; "Arab Spring", or the revolutions taking place within the Middle East today.
